Meredith and Zola were still sitting on Meredith's bed, Zola watching a documentary, while her mom tried to read through some research papers on Parkinson, as her phone rang, indicating a new message.
"Can you hand me my phone, please?" Meredith asked with a small smile, her daughter still in charge of her phone.
"Dr. Marsh seems to care about you." Zola answered smiling at her mother almost teasingly.
Meredith took the phone from her daughter, looking at the message, only then understandig Zola's comment.
'How are you feeling?' - Nick
Only minutes later, she had an incoming call from him, for a moment she wasn't sure whether to answer him or not, deciding against it in the end.
"You know you can text him back... Or answer his call." Zola answered with a smile at her mother trying to figure out what to do.
"Maybe I don't want to text or speak to him right now..." Meredith answered, raising an eyebrow as if to underline her answer, but not succeeding.
"Do you?" Zola asked disbelievingly, looking down at her mother's phone, Nick's name still on the display.
"Zozo. Zola." Meredith tried to stop her daughter, as she noticed what was happening, only able to shake her head while having to smile as she heard Zola answer the call.

"Hey."
"Hey... Zola..." Meredith could hear the surprise in Nick's voice.
"Zozo." Meredith called her daughter once again, indicating her to give her the phone.
"I'll give you my mom."
