I walk here along the path the end of it all, watching as the world burns to dust, all life perishing before me. But I stay. Who will watch the world after life is gone? The one there from before life began.
I, the one people have many names for. The one which people call a healer and a destroyer. A blessing or a burden. The equivocal nature of my existence led many to try and turn me, cheat me to change my course. The course that was set out to me the minute I was formed in that transcendent plane of which nobody, not even I, knows of.
I am the beginning. I make knowledge grow, but I also make it whither back into the ashes from which I formed it. I am the reason for your pain and your redemption and I remain here after you have long met your demise.
I watched the world fall apart as people took me for granted, hoping that my existence would improve things without the need to work their tiny little minds. I continued down my path as their selfish decisions hurt the planet that kept them alive still believing that I possessed the power to reset to what once was. But I cannot go back on my course, I must continue on until I reach my own end.
And now I am still walking as the earth which I witnessed form meets its bitter death and I will keep travelling down my path. The one left at the end of it all.
