Sabito's Pov:

Sabito sat back comfortably on one of the couches in the water estate common room. Which he might add, wasn't very large. Nor decorated. Compared to the others. But he didn't mind much.

Because by staying in the water estate, he got to live with Giyuu again. And he loved that.

But when Sabito had first entered the estate the previous day. He had thought it looked depressing and lonely. From what he had heard from both Giyuu and others, he was.

He had been alone for more than six years, distancing himself from others because of unplaced guilt and fear.

When other pillars had begun taking on apprentices to train up to replace them. Tomioka had refused. Saying something along the lines of 'not wanting someone else to suffer the same fate as himself.'

At least that's what he had heard from talking with others while waiting for Giyuu to wake in the butterfly estate.

So the raven-haired man had lived in this giant mansion, all alone for who knows how long. As he suffered in silence.

That made the peach-haired man sad, only making him wish harder that he had been around to keep Giyuu safe. From others and himself.

But he pushed the thought aside, knowing it would only give him a headache.

Luckily, his dark-haired friend walked into the room and sat down quietly beside Sabito. Not saying anything as he did so.

But Sabito heard him sigh loudly as he rested his head on the peach-haired man's shoulder. The latter responded by wrapping his arm comfortingly around Giyuu's shoulders. Pulling him close onto his left side.

"Hard day?"

The larger man asked as he rested his head gently on top of Giyuu's raven-colored head.

"Kinda, I'm just a little tired,"

He said as he absentmindedly snuggled a little closer.

"Wanna talk about it?"

He asked as they held each other close.

He shook his head no against Sabito's chest. So he let it go. If Giyuu wanted to talk about something. He would come to him on his own.

Sabito knew it was unlikely that his pale friend felt the same way about him that he did the other. But the thought of Giyuu staying close to him because he returned Sabito's unspoken feelings made his stomach flutter.

If he was being honest, Sabito did remember a few things from before he had returned. He had just lied about it to Giyuu. Because he wanted the smaller man to remember one of the experiences himself.

Sabito had remembered threatening the bitchy insect pillar. He had also remembered directing her younger sister to Giyuu's aid when he had his incident.

But most of all, and his most clear memory, was when Tomioka had almost killed himself.

He remembered the teary look in his eyes when he realized he was dying. That hurt to watch. He could still feel the pain of watching his old friend collapse to the ground crying. And Sabito could remember comforting him as he sobbed. (He had done that a lot recently).

But the worst part of that whole experience was the almost happy look in the raven-haired man's eyes when he had told him he was on the doors of death. That was what made the lavender-eyed man cry. He hadn't wanted his friend to die.

Yes, he wanted to see him again. And yes he had missed him.

But hadn't wanted to watch him cut his arm open, nearly killing himself in the process.
