Missing Malfoy (ON HOLD)

{Chapter 5}

Ambrose's (Poseidon) POV:

I opened my eyes when I felt someone softly shaking me to wake up. I took my headphones off and put them around my neck once I realized the only thing I can hear was the Fall Out Boy song 'Sugar, we're going down'. I look around only to realized that it was Draco that woke me up, I sent a quick smile at him before moving him to the seat next to me so I could put on my cleats. After I got my cleats tied and fit comfortably we both got out of the truck to head to the field that my soccer team was at. Sadly, Draco had to stay with the adults like at the hockey game, I gave him a hug and whispered in his ear that I'll try to get back to him as soon as I could. He nodded his head, not saying a word, looking sad that I had to leave him to go play.

I let go of him and turned to walk away. I only got about five steps away from Draco when my legs started to feel like jelly and almost went out on me mid step. I started to hear people talking behind me. They were asking if someone was okay and if the person they were talking to needed to sit down. I turned my head back to see what was going on. What I saw was all the adults Draco was with and my parents checking on Draco like something happened to him. He and I met each other's eyes, silently asking if the other was okay. Draco seemed to relax a bit and sent me a small painful smile to try to tell me he was okay. I sent one back to let him know I was okay too before turning back and running quickly to my team that was starting to huddle together.

We had a pep talk from coach before he told us our positions. He told me I was staying in my usual spot being striker. During the game, my legs would feel weird occasionally and my chest would hurt when I would get closer to our opponent's goal. Coach could tell that something was up so after I scored two goals he pulled me out for a few minutes to cool off. He asked what was wrong and told me I was going a little slower than normal. I told him that I didn't know and that I was just feeling a little off today.

While I was sitting on the bench Draco snuck away from the adults and came to sit on my lap once again. He stayed there until my coach turned around and started to bark orders at me but stopped mid-sentence seeing Draco sitting on my lap. You can tell he was confused but quickly shook it off and told me to get back in the game. Draco pouted but still got up so I could stand up too. He gave me a hug before making his way back to the adults while I walked back onto the field. I stayed in for the rest of the game and scored three more goals making the final score for the game 6- 2 with us getting the win.

After the game ended, my team mates and I were high fiving and hugging each other before lining up to shake hands with the players of the other team. The coach made us group up around him so we can listen to his end game speech. The speech entailed the coach telling many players about their mistakes, telling the goalie that they only stopped one goal out of three attempts, and ending the speech with handing me the game ball due to me being the big reason that we won, even with me being out of the game for a bit. Coach dismissed us players to go our own ways with a reminder about practice during the week.

As soon as I turned around to head towards the large group I came with I was immediately taken to ground by something, or rather someone, jumping on me full force. As I hit the ground my eyes closed for a minute due to the wind being knocked out of me. As soon as I mostly got my breath back, I opened my eyes to see Draco sitting on top of me looking sorry for knocking me down. Draco crawls off me so I can get up, but immediately jumps into my arms with his arms around my neck and legs wrapped around my waist. Luckily, I thought he would do something like that so I was ready. I just put one arm under his legs and my other around his back to keep him in place then just kept walking to the group.

Once I am in front of the group of adults I try to let Draco back onto the ground but he just holds on tighter like a koala hugging a tree. I jumped up and down trying to get him off but all it did was cause him to hold on tighter and started to whimper in my ear. I stopped and decided to just let him stay so I put my arms back around him so Draco knows he can stay and that he doesn't need to keep chocking me. Everyone congratulated me on the win before we started making our way back to the cars. Draco still would not let me go so he ended up staying in my lap the entire ride home.

Pulling into the driveway a while later, everyone got out of their cars and went inside. "Okay Ambrose, go get changed and start your chores." Dad told me as all the adults took a seat around the living room. I look at him with a "Can you not see I have a person attached to me?" look. He was not understanding what my look meant so I had to look at him, making sure to have eye contact, before shifting to look at Draco out of the corner of my eye then look back at him. that's when he understood what I was trying to tell him. "Lucius, he has to do his chores for a little bit so can you help out on this." My dad asked Draco's dad. Draco's dad walked over and tried to get Draco to let go but he just wasn't budging, "Draco, I'm not leaving I just have to do my chores. The quicker you let me start the faster you can come back to me. Ok?" Draco lifted his head to look into my eyes, I think to see if I'm lying. Draco let go from around my neck when he realized I wasn't lying and let his dad take him over to the couch to sit.

I started to quickly run around doing all my chores. I vacuumed all the carpets, cleaned all the mirrors, cleaned the toilets, made my bed, picked up my toys, organized my sports gear, and took out the trash. I finished everything an hour later so I got mom and dad checked everything before they gave me the all good. Once they told me I was done, I went into the living room. The second Draco saw me he gave me a questioning look as in asking if I was done yet. I nodded my head. In a blink of an eye Draco had his arms around my mid-section. Feeling extremely tired, I move Draco's arms to around my neck and lifted his legs to be around my waist like before. I walked over to the beanbag chair on the floor and fell down with him in my lap still. I reach for a blanket from the bin next to us and throw it over both Draco and I so I can take a nap. The last thing I heard before falling into a deep sleep were the adults around the room cooing at us and saying how cute we were.
