Playdate - The Arrival

Also I apologise for how long it took to write the last part, school got extremely hectic and I didn't have any time to do anything really... but anyway, thank you, and enjoy!||

I gazed excitedly at the Pizza Plex, thinking only about the playdate. My mind raced due to the pure excitement and adrenaline. As the car slowly pulled into our usual spot, I almost tore off my seatbelt, the exhilaration overbearing as the car crawled to a stop. The very millisecond that we fully stopped, I clicked off my seatbelt and aggressively threw open my door, my parents angrily shouting as I ran over to the towering building.

The sight of the rainbow "Slide into fun!" Sign was one for sore eyes. I'd been wanting to be here for so long, and now I was finally stood outside, ready to, indeed, slide into fun.
My parents waved me off and as they did so, I began my action packed day.

"Y/N!!!!!" I heard a familiar voice shout as I landed messily in the ball pit. I didn't let the fact that I'd landed awkwardly on top of a ball stop me from immediately jumping up and sprinting to the edge. I looked up as I was running, and I grinned as soon as I saw her.
"LAURAAAAAAA!!!" I yelled in an unnecessarily dramatic way, pretending to struggle against the 'tide' of the ball pit. That earned a giggle from her as she grabbed my hand and pulled me out.

Sun must have heard all the commotion because I could hear him whistling and skipping along to where we were stood. He grinned, bright as ever, and watched with curiosity as me and Laura pulled away from our hug.
"Hello both of you!" He beamed. We simply waved and smiled back in reply. We remained silent, so he took that as he was allowed to continue.
"What's gotten you two in such a good mood today?"
Me and Laura quickly turned to each other and grinned, mischief and excitement spreading across our faces.
"Well-" I began, giggling slightly.
"WE ARE GONNA HAVE A PLAYDATE LATER!!!" She blurted out, barely containing her excitement. To be honest, I was on the verge of screaming with excitement too...
"I'm glad you guys are excited!" Sun cheered as all three of us made our way to the main area.

After hours of chatting, playing and even sleeping (thanks to Moon), Laura grabbed my wrist and led me over to the huge wooden doors that separated the Daycare from the rest of the Pizza Plex.
Today, Sun didn't stay too long for goodbyes, partly because he wanted us to go off and have fun, but also there was an incident with a child getting stuck on top of the climbing frame.
"You think they'll be okay?" She asked, letting go of my now sore wrist. I nodded, giggling at the memory of when I too got 'stuck' on there.
"They'll be okay, I should know." Laura stared at me quizzically for a moment, but seemed to immediately forget her thought as the doors creak open.
"DADDDDDDDD!!!!" She yelled, throwing herself into his arms. I stood awkwardly, avoiding eye contact with him. After a minute they let go and both pairs of eyes turned towards me.
"I'm assuming you're Y/N, right?" He asked, a lot softer than I expected. That was mainly due to his hairless head and leather jacket though. I stared anxiously up into his eyes, and I then realised where Laura got her pretty eyes from. I smiled up at him, the familiarity of the colour keeping my nervousness at bay. I nodded. His smile widened as he gently held out his hand for me to - presumably - shake. Again, I was surprised at how warm his hand was. I liked this guy.
"It's nice to meet you Sir!" I grinned, my smile becoming increasingly genuine.
"Oh please," he scoffed, although not in a rude way. "Call me Phil!"
Ah. He did look like a Phil (although I didn't say that to anyone).
"Okay Phil! It's nice to finally get to meet you!"
"And the same to you Y/N!"

The car ride was extremely hectic, as expected. We ended up putting in a "Mamma Mia!" CD in the player. There were a couple of times where me and Laura were mouthing the lyrics dramatically to songs, and especially the one where the man and woman are on the beach and they're vibing (You know the one). That earned us a chuckle from Phil.

But finally, after hours and hours of waiting and a sleepless night, we pulled up into her driveway. I had to squint to see the top of the house (that could honestly be classed as a mansion by me) due to the blinding lights from the sun. I liked looking up at the sun because it reminded me that Sun was always there for me. But I turned my attention back to the grand house that lay before me. The outer walls were covered in a crisp white, whilst the doorframes and windowsills were the same colour as the sky at around 2am (don't ask me why I stay up that late-). Vibrant strips of grass were neatly lined with all sorts of coloured flowers and plants, and the distinct smell of pollen rushed my nose. The gentle humming of bumblebees could be heard throughout the neat little garden.
Laura probably noticed my interest in the wildlife as she edged closer to me and whispered "If you like this, wait until you see the back garden!"
She snickered at how loud my gasp was, which brought us the attention of Phil.
"What's got you two in such a giggly mood, eh?" He grinned. Me and Laura exchanged glances.
"Noooooothingggggggg..." we giggled, which turned into full on howling laughter. Phil simply shook his head jokingly and pulled out some keys from his pocket.
"Alright gang, home sweet home!" The click of the keys turning the door open furled my adrenaline, and with a racing heart, along with Laura and Phil by my side, we entered the house.

|| Hi again! I'm sorry for only doing monthly updates... I haven't really been adding more to this because I've found other fics to read, and I'm also getting into new fandoms (but trust me I'll always love Sun and Moon!) which is another reason why I haven't posted recently. I'm gonna continue posting, but chapters will not be very frequent, and if you want to stick around to see more, then keep commenting, voting, and reading!

I'm actually Shooketh... I didn't think I'd ever get 1k views let alone over 9k?!!!! Thank you all literally so much you are all so amazing!!! The support means the world to me, and even if you don't enjoy this, then thank you for sticking with me this far! I think I could possibly get back into a much better schedule, but with the summer term now here, work's gonna be a bit tougher and - you guessed it - more extra curricular activities!!! 😀
