Chapter Twenty Two - At The Very Top
"Pass the glue." Marie mumbled beside me.
Looking around the cream carpet my eyes searched for the glue somewhere amongst the mess of paper, pens, pencils, the usual craft material.
I was at Marie's house that she shared with a small family, just her, her mother and her father. We had been put together to make a project on rivers for Geography.
"Here you go." I replied. Finally spotting it under a pile of pens.
I passed it to her and she grabbed it, gluing something down quickly.
"Thanks, so do you know where you're going tonight yet?" She asked suddenly.
My eyes widened and I looked over to her. She winked cheekily, tempting a long sigh out of my lips.
"I don't know. He won't tell me." I pouted.
"Aw don't worry..."
"Don't worry? I don't even know what to wear! Or what time! Or anything!" My position slumped and I rested my head in my hands.
A low whistle escaped Marie's lips before she spoke up.
"Why don't you just call him?" She suggested.
I face-palmed myself repeatedly, realising how stupid I was to not think of that before.
Picking up my phone I typed out his number, which I was currently memorising, and placed the phone by my ear.
