Raelyn's P.O.V.

Okay today's the meet and greet. I can totally be cool about this, yea I got this. Well, maybe, yea I don't now how cool I can be about this. I just got up and there's already butterflies. I've tried to convince myself that its going to be fine, but it's not working. Amber came out of her room rubbing her eye and yawning finding me sitting on her couch, her parents were out of town this weekend and we have the house to ourselves.

"What time is it?" She asks.

"Uh, oh its nine. Sorry I'm just excited for today." I reply trying to hide my butterflies.

"Mmmhmmm sure you are. I mean of course your going to be excited, but I know your way more nervous than excited." She giggles.

"Is it that obvious?" I question frowning.

"To me? Yes, but to anyone else you might just look bothered. Which you need to stop because when you meet Nash, Hayes, and Cam, they will think you are bothered with something. Then they'll ask you about it and we all know where that's going to go." She says as she walks into the kitchen.

"I know I'll try. Okay now you need to hurry and decide what your going to wear so we can go to my house and I can get ready before we have to leave. Are we still going to the beach after?"

"Uh duh we're going to the beach after, the surf's the best at night," She says as we walk into her room. Ever since the summer after eight grade, when we learned to surf, we have been attached to the waves. "Okay which outfit." She pulls out a couple of outfits and I pick one.

After she finishes getting ready and putting on her makeup we decide to go get breakfast at IHop. When we finally get to my house it is noon and we have to be at the pier in Malibu at three.

"Okay are you ready to go." I say as I look at the clock seeing that it's two. It takes about twenty minutes to get to the pier, but leaving now would probably be a good idea saying that we need to park and walk there.

We grab our bags and head out to the garage to grab our surfboards and put them in the bed of my truck. We were finally on the road and the butterflies are back. On the way there we jam out to the radio and try everything to ease my nerves and surprisingly it's working.

We arrive at the meet and greet and get in line, it is about two forty-five. We are probably one of the last people and that becomes prominent as the line gets closer and closer to them only a few more girls come behind us. I don't know whether its good or not to be one of the last people because I've never been to one of these things before.

My nerves grow as we get closer and closer to their tables. Amber notices my nerves and tries to calm me down, "Hey calm down its going to be fine. I know you will be fine, okay? Like I said you just act like nothing happened and he'll make a move if he wants to okay?"

"I just really would like to be his friend and I don't want to blow it due to me not making a move. Well, I guess it would be best if he makes the move though, so it's not like I'm forcing myself on him." I reply with more confidence. I can do this, yea, I can do this. I boost my self confidence just as we approach the first boy, Cameron. Shit what am I supposed to do? I was too worried about myself and didn't watch other girls to see how they broke the ice. I'm just standing here like an idiot crap.

"Hey! What's your name!" Oh thank you so much Cam. He spoke enthusiastically, making me even more confident.

"Its Raelyn." I say trying to find where Amber was, she better not have ran off. I swear if she- oh there she is.
