Night began to fall as the you fled from the man's cottage. A cold and snowy night it was, your clothing was not assisting in giving you warmth. You had on a white and purple floral hanfu that you didn't put on correctly— as you left in a rush.

Why were you even rushing? It was the early morning, about five. You had to get back to palace and make sure nobody saw you. Not to mention; you had to travel in such cold weather with thick snow. Where were you coming from? That was a complicated answer.

You were a divine princess. The only heir of your family and soon to be the next empress when your mother was to pass away. Your mother and father were to marry you to a wealthy royal man before her passing but your destined husband was not the man you were seeing.

In fact, you were having an affair. This man you were seeing was a criminal from another island. He was a pirate and you were to be queen just after your mothers death. Before your coronation, you were to be married. You had no desire to be with your husband; truth be told you were head over heels for this criminal of a man.

He held you in his arms just as you could crave. Your fiancé just was bland. The criminal dances the night with you while your fiancé refused to take your hand. He made love to you while your fiancé was busy having tea with other women. You constantly found yourself going back to this man and ending up in his bed.

He never dared to speak of your affairs, he never wanted to trouble you. His crew and him were bandits the town despised. Wherever they went, they were shunned upon. In bars, drinks were poured on them; food was thrown and sometimes wouldn't be served until you scolded the people in the classic building.

Now you were sneaking back into your own bedroom by the window. You landed softly in the bed, a soft sigh leaving your lips as you missed the warmth he gave you. Your neck was covered with his bites and hickeys, you felt sore from all the running after your night with him. But even then, you wished to be next to him again.

You removed your hanfu carefully as you closed the window. The clothing fell to the floor as you walked over to the lantern next to your bed. You turned it on, providing some light and warmth as your bare breasts were exposed to the cold. You only had on lacey underwear as you climbed under the sheets.

You shivered at the impact of the cold mattress, scrunching your body up into a fetal position under you were warm enough to fall asleep.

You were rudely awaken by a maid in your room. She was carefully putting your clothing away and your breakfast she placed nicely on the edge of your bed. Now she was looking for an outfit for you.

"Oh! Good morning your majesty. I apologize if I woke you. There was a catch this morning by the royal guards and your father requested for you! Breakfast was already prepared and I was just looking for a more appropriate hanfu." She said kindly.

"Thank you..Merium." You said as you picked up the silver platter at the end of your bed and began to eat. She searched through your closet as she pulled out a navy blue and white hanfu with light pink flowers on the hem and sleeves.

You finished your breakfast as she laid the hanfu on a chair before taking the platter.

"Go ahead and get dressed madame, call for me if you wish for my assistance in anything." Merium said kindly as she exited the room. You got up from your bed, massaging your sore chest as you began to dress yourself in the hanfu.

You did your hair plainly and exited your bedroom, heading to the bathroom to fix and loose or stray hairs, as well as do your makeup and brush your teeth. It was a miracle Merium didn't spot your hickeys or bite marks. You could only thank God for sparing you.

You hid it beneath your makeup and hanfu as you exited your bathroom, a respected and stern look on your face as you walked into the palaces throne room. You took a seat in the middle throne as your mother handed you a white Ogi fan with cherry blossoms on it. She had a pristine look and she wore a stern look as well that was covered by her fan.

Your father simply sat with his hand on the armrests of his throne as he sat with his legs crossed, leaning on his other hand with an unpleasant expression.

"Curious I am indeed as to who the guards have captured. I presume it's those criminals you've protected, yes?" He asked you.

"I did not protect them! Nobody should be refused of service nor have someone's drink or food thrown on them. It's despicable." You said formally.

Your father chuckled as your mother burst to laughter.

"They're pirates, darling. Such men like them don't deserve recognition from a princess such as yourself. You're high and mighty, they are dirt." Your mother said before the doors opened.

You scoffed and covered your face with the fan as the guards walked in, holding onto a man. Your eyes widened as you saw who it was. It was the man you had been sleeping with. Now here he was; on his knees in front of you with his hands in shackles.

"Your majesty's, we have caught the criminal. His crew is currently in the cells waiting for your word." One of the guards spoke.

"I say we execute him." Your mother said.

"Now now. He hasn't caused us such trouble. I'm just curious, why does a man like you intrigue our pristine princess? You're nothing but trouble." Your father said sternly.

"Your majesty, I have no idea as to why. Your daughter is a kind lady, very formal. I am most grateful she's even spared a look to me." He said.

You bit your lip. He was so careful with his words, he dared not to anger your father; fore he knew what would come to him if he did. Your father hummed, he seemed pleased with his words.

"I hereby sentence you, Gold Roger to work as my daughters underling until otherwise. You are to do her bidding until she says off with your head or you're free to leave the island. If she is not pleased with you, she is to tell us immediately and you will be sentenced to death." Your father said.

"I understand. Thank you, your majesty." He said before you all got up and left. Before you exited the throne room, you spared him a glance with a wink.

Soon, night had fallen and you were sitting on the deck outside of your room. Regularly, guards would be around but you had ordered them to leave. You sat there, strumming your Pipa guitar as you hummed a song to the melody. Your legs dangled off the edge of the deck as the wind blew softly.

"You play quite well." Roger spoke.

"Thank you...you're very good at persuasion. Your acting is impeccable to say the least...you truly acted as if you didn't know me and were grateful to even have been graced by my presence." You said with a soft laugh.

"I've done more than just be in your presence, darling." He said, pulling you up from the deck by your waist. Your guitar landed softly on the wooden ground as he held you by your waist.

"An elegant lady you are, but in the sheets I beg to differ."

"Speaking in such a tongue...a dirty man you are." You said, your cheeks going a rosy color as he brought you inside, pinning you down on the soft mattress as he began to remove your hanfu.

You stared at him, love in your eyes as you cupped his face, he stared back with that same look as he leaned down and gave you a passionate kiss.

Soon enough, both of your clothing were discarded and tossed onto the floor and the only sounds of the night were the wind, the creaking of your bed, his name slipping from your lips and the sound of love being made.

Divine princess you were, but with him you felt like something else. You would make him your lover, even if it meant having to leave your palace behind.

He was everything you ever wanted.
