𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐆𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 bustling in the early hours of the night where speakeasies began to open, lights flickered on, and people could ditch their jobs for a little bit of fun.

The twins happily mixed in amongst these groups of people, finding themselves in a store selling girls clothing, distracting them from their main goal that night. It had been long forgotten as they scavenged through the racks of clothes. The blue haze mixed in with the white lights created a certain unsettling feeling throughout the store, but there was no one else in there but those two given the mother and her daughter had left the store a few minutes prior. The employee had disappeared into the back, leaving them by themselves.

"Oh, how about this one?" Ellie held up a simpler dress compared to the flashy clothing, that could be considered their employee uniform, back at their speakeasy.

Maria looked up from her rack, her face twisting together, "Well, it's not really my style—"

"For me, dummy."

"Oh!" She nodded, "Then I think it's cute. But are you sure you don't want something like this?" With a teasing smirk, the girl held up a nightgown. Not just any nightgown, a child's nightgown.

The pink color and puffed shoulders caused Ellie to roll her eyes as she recognized the ongoing joke, "Oh please, we're twins."

A huff was heard across from her, "I'm older, though!" Her gaze may have been on her hand shifting through the hangers, but she could paint the perfect picture in her head of the gaping face of her sister across from her.

"By two minutes."

"Two important minutes."

"You're just mad 'cause you're younger than me." Her eyes flickered up to the brunette in amusement but her face fell when she noticed two figures a few aisles over. The guns in their hands were very obvious, pointed right at the brunette's back.

Just as the guns began to fire, a throaty scream left her throat as she leaped toward the unexpecting Maria, "No!"

The two girls toppled into the rack behind her, just narrowly dodging the gunfire that came a moment too late. They painfully landed on the bar, the clothes doing nothing to soften their fall.

Ellie thought faster than her still very confused sister, grabbing ahold of her wrist and dragging her with her. The quick gunfire came once more as the two crouched figures hurried for cover.

When they were blocked from view, Ellie let go over her wrist, only to be instantly bombarded with questions.

"What the hell just happened?"

Out of breath, she shook her head, "I don't know. I thought it was just us in here."

"Do you think these guys are from the same group that attacked Estelle?" Maria's voice was laced with concern.
