𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 years got gradually harder and harder as their true identities got more and more detectable from updated technology. The government, or S-7 they learned, never left their trail. Only now, it was getting easier for them to find based on their energon signatures.

Hiding in the shadows was one thing, and was actually quite hard for one restless, adventurous femme in particular.

Hiding in plain sight? That took a little bit of trust, but it was doable.

Well, a lot of trust actually.

The point was, that they managed to find help.

"And can you make sure brother gets to karate practice?"

Charlie Watson tore off the headphones connected to her mp3 player with a look of disbelief, "I could... if I didn't have work." The brunette was already on her way out the door with her usual case of bedhead and a pop-tart in hand.

Her mother, currently wearing brightly colored nurse scrubs, dragged her hand through her passing son's curly head of brown hair as he walked to get himself some breakfast in his karate uniform. She gave her older daughter a confused look, "I thought you had Mondays off?"

Charlie's eyes wandered the room for a moment, thinking up a quick excuse, "They uhm-they called me in. Something about it being busy."

"It's a Monday."

"Exactly." She went along with her lie confidently, "People swarm the days they think no one will be there, obviously. Come on, Mom. Everyone knows that."

Her mother stared at her for a moment before nodding her head in agreement, buying her lie, "Okay, fine, but please drive safe. Those things aren't safe."

"Yeah, yeah. I know—" A deep engine roar from outside drew their attention to the window displaying their front yard. Charlie's heart plummeted when she spotted the blue vehicle, suddenly silent, pulled over across the street.

"That thing is there again?" The older woman mumbled in disbelief, "I've asked all the neighbors, but they don't know whose car it is."

"Yeah, that's so weird. Okay, bye, Mom!" She quickly kissed the woman's cheek and escaped out the garage door.

The second she shut it behind herself, she closed her eyes with a heavy sigh, "The things I do for you two."

When her eyes opened again, she looked over to the yellow beetle who sank on his tires. Charlie set her mp3 player on the workshop desk then climbed into the driver's seat of his alt, "You guys almost got me caught for this."

His radio flickered to life, "Well, you girl, yeah you make my dream come true! You you!~"

She smirked, "Buttering me up, Bee?"
