𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐒 with American flags waving viciously wherever you looked. It stayed this way between September and December, hundreds of thousands of soldiers behind sent back from the war between that time with the goal to get them all home before Christmas.
The war... Eclipse hadn't seen such a thing to that extent since Cyberton and some of the things she had seen were enough to scar her for centuries. Humans were an amazing species, but many were also so cruel and just pure evil.
All of that had died down by now, and for once, the femme didn't find herself drawn to the party and celebrations.
Fir and pine trees decorated themselves with chilling white coats. There was a multitude of ringing bells and chatter outside on the glorious flourishing streets. The location at which she found herself in after endless wandering when the military let her go from their service was unknown. She was back into hiding.
She let out a sound of awe. It was her first time seeing snow in years. And unlike the first time she had seen it, she was alone.
It felt silly that she had been traveling this new world like her past self had dreamt, but to end up still feeling not very content. It wasn't as she had pictured or dreamt, and perhaps that was because of wartime, but even still... the memories with people she had met weren't all bad.
How silly was it she even found a little house, unoccupied it seemed for a very long time, and decorated it, put up a tree with presents beneath it for no one but herself to open. At least, that's what she picked up from the stories of her human comrades through her few years on Earth. She did love learning everything there was to know, no matter what country she went to. This tradition was one she favored to celebrate at least once.
With the devastating war out of the way now, she was going to try to do so this year. Only, she hadn't pictured still being by herself.
Bumblebee and Eclipse both felt they needed to help against the Nazis with the war when America got involved. They were revealed of their true identities to only a few, but these distinct units needed them in separate places. When it came time to be sent home from Europe, well, she had yet to see him. His whereabouts were strictly unknown.
She wandered the streets away from her temporary home in the quiet little town they had agreed to be meet in before they left to join the war. The deadline for the soldiers to be brought home had arrived and he was still nowhere to be found.
Children ran past her holoform, their footprints enamored the pearly white snow that now had stopped failing. They had beanies on their heads that had to be held so they didn't fly off as they held their fluffy jackets close for warmth.
Eclipse stuck out like a sore thumb dressed in only a white button-up long sleeve and black slacks.
"Miss Estelle! Would you like a beignet?" A young boy whom she'd grown acquainted with because of her many wandering nights had asked.
