25. Imposter

I walked into school on Monday morning thinking of the party. I really wanted to see Peter.

I was putting stuff in my locker when I heard something whispered in my ear.
"Good morning Miss Stark," the voice said. It was the one and only Peter Parker.
"Good morning spidey-boy," I said back turning around and slamming my locker door.

He kissed my on the fore head and I laughed.
"Damn, it's 7am," MJ said walking up to us.
"Good morning Michelle, how was your weekend," I said.
"It's MJ! And you two have clearly been busy this weekend," she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, the last time I saw you, you we're barely holding hands, now your kissing," MJ told us.
"I don't have a clue what your talking about,"I said.
"If you say so," MJ said unconvinced.
"Hey where's Ned?" Peter asked changing the subject.
"Oh, he's with Betty," MJ told us.
"There still together huh?" Peter asked.
"You two are still together," MJ pointed out.
"True," I said.
"Anyways, I have English in the other building so I'm gonna go," she told us and then walked away.

"What do you have first?" Peter asked me.
"Oh, I maths," I told him.
"Ah, well I have Physics so see you at break," he told me.

I got up on my tiptoes and kissed him on the forehead.
"Love you Pete," I said.
"Love you N/N," he said back. To that I stuck my tongue out at him which made him laugh.

I arrived at Maths and went to sit in my seat next to Ned. I really wasn't in the mood for maths and since I was sat in the corner of the room by the wall and put one of my earbuds in. I had it with my hair and under the table I put my playlist on. I did the work as well but this made it a bit more enjoyable.

I was daydreaming when I felt my shoulder being tapped.
"Yeah?" I asked dazed.
"Get down!" Ned yelled. I was confused at what was going on but I listened. I took the ear bud out and put it away.
"You we're listening to music?" He whisper shouted.
"It that really that important right now?" I asked.
"I guess not," he shrugged.
"What's happening?" I asked.
"Oh right, there's a imposter in the school! Apparently he has a gun!" Ned said.
"What?" I asked alarmed.
"Yes," Ned told me.
I sat with my back against the wall. I put my hands around my legs with one thing on my mind. Peter.

I decided I needed im to help him. I tried my best to turn invisible and I believed that it worked because I was able to get out of the class and nobody noticed me.

Peter POV

I got out of Physics quickly and ran to grab my suit. I got changed and headed to fight the person. I heard them in the corridor. I hid behind the wall near the maths corridor and then crept up to get a good look at what I was dealing with.

There was not 1 but two men stood there. I recognised them, they were from the atm robbery.

"Oh hey guys! Long time no see!" I said waving at them and walking away from my hiding place.
"Ugh this kid again!" The one guy said to the other.
"I'm not a kid, I'm a man...it's literally in the name...Spider-Man," I told them emphasising the Man part.
"Oh ok I'm sorry," the first guy said.
"I see you changed your masks," I said while using my web fluid to stick to the ceiling and then swing into them, knocking them over with my feet.
"Now that's what you call a wrecking ball entrance," I yelled as I swung back and landed on top of the lockers.
"No applause? Aw c'mon man!" I said before using my web fluid to swing closer to them and land on the floor.
"Woah! Superhero landing!" I yelled before running at them and starting to fight.

While I fought the first guy, I noticed the other trying to do something in the corridor.
"Woah buddy! What are you doing there?" I asked.

But then I noticed something strange, they guy was pulling himself backwards?

I kept fighting the one guy while the other was pulling himself up. He had finally stood up when I noticed him topple to the floor again.
"Haha!" I yelled before punching the one guy onto the floor.

The first guy was unconscious, yet the other one kept falling over himself. I went over to help by sticking to the ceiling and then kicking him in the face making him fall into the wall and hit his head.

"Woo!" I yelled.
"You did amazing Pete!" I heard someone yell. It sounded like Y/n.
"Y/n?" I asked.
"Yup it's me, now come down!" She yelled.

I landed on the floor and then she came into my view.
"Your invisible?" He asked me.
"I guess so, i'm sorry I wasn't that helpful," she said.
"Wait that was you?" I asked.
"Yeah, I guess so," she shrugged.
"Darling that was amazing!" I told her.
"That's going on the list of names I hate," she said.
"Why? It's cute," I said trying to convince her.
"Mmm if you say so, but doesn't it sound like an old couple," she asked me.
"When you say it like that I kinda get it," I said.
"Ha, well we'd better clear up and I'd better get back to maths," She told me and I nodded.

We cleaned up quickly but then with my spidey-sense I could tell someone was coming.
"Y/n you have to go! Someone's coming," I told her and she nodded.

She turned invisible again. I couldn't tell where she was obviously but I waited patiently.

Our headteacher came running down the halls.
"Spider-Man?" She asked.
"Hello ma'am," I said politely.
"Thank you for saving our school," she told me and I nodded.

She told me to leave so I swung out the window. The police we're outside; the sirens were wailing and flashing blue and red as I discretely went back into the window of the boys toilets to get changed and then walked to Physics.

Y/n POV

I hurried back into class still invisible and sat back where I was before. Surprisingly nobody had noticed my absence.

After maths, I met Peter in the canteen. We went to sit together.
"Oh y/n you have a bruise on your forehead," he told me.
"Oh! How the hell am I gonna hide that from my dad?" I asked.
"I wouldn't normally suggest this because you are beautiful and don't need it, but do you have any makeup you could use?" Peter asked.
"Yeah," I said and grabbed it out of the front pocket of my bag.
"I'll be back now," I told him starting to stand up
"Y/n, let me do it," He said.
"Ok," I said and sat back down.

"Tell me if this hurts," he told me. He dabbed the makeup lightly on my forehead.
"You guys look really weird you know that right?" I heard someone ask.

I slightly turned my head and saw MJ.
"Oh hey MJ," I said.
"Lemme guess, your Spider-Man's assistant?" She said.
"Why would you suggest that?" I asked her.
"Well, I know Peter is Spider-Man and your his girlfriend...and you have a bruise on your forehead that your trying to cover up so your dad Tony Stark doesn't find out," MJ said.

Peter dropped the makeup sponge and we both stared at her in shock.
"What? How?" Peter asked shocked.
"If you remember Y/n, there was footage covering Tony going into hospital the same night and same hospital with the same conditions your dad had. It was too much of a coincidence. Also Peter always seems to 'disappear' when something bad happens and Spider-Man is there. And you have all the bruises to prove it...and also by your reactions to just now when I told you all this," MJ said.

"How do you notice all this?" I asked amazed.
"I'm a very observant person," MJ said shrugging.
"That you are," Peter agreed shaking his head in amazement.
