Chapter 14

Vanessa
Not good ... That was not good at all . Not only because Mads and I were pushed out, but also because it allowed Michael and the Zoe producers to see everything. Mads stared straight ahead next to me and I saw her lips tremble. "Nessa, what do we do now?" asked Madeleine. I checked the rearview mirror to confirm the look on Cami's face. Cami looked worried and sorry for letting us know.
"I think we'll face what's to come as a couple." Madelaine nodded and I started the engine. I silently steered the car back to the Cet. Even though I didn't show it, I was pretty damn nervous. Of course, I've been there before my mom and dad, Mads and Travis, but still, no one who isn't in the same situation can understand how nervous and anxious you used to be every time.
As we got out, I ran around the car and took Madelaine's hand. "I'm so sorry..." Cami whispered. "Doesn't have to be, after all you didn't upload the picture." I said and then looked at my girlfriend. "Are you ready?" Madelaine nodded and squeezed my hand really tight. She wasn't ready at all and I wanted to grab her, put her in my car and leave. I didn't want her to be forced to say that sentence like that.

As we reached and entered the building, all eyes were on Mads and my clasped hands, but no one said a word. Nobody but Madelaine. Madelaine suddenly let go of my hand and stood on a small table. "You all saw it..." my girlfriend began and I had to pull myself together not to drag her off the table. "Yes, Vanessa and I are together and it's been almost half a year. Yes, I will adopt Nessa's baby. Yes, I love Vanessa and YES, I'm a lesbian."

Madelaine
Yep . Everyone was silent and I suddenly felt incredibly stupid.
did they hate me now?
Until I suddenly felt Vanessa's presence again and heard her clapping her hands. The rest of the room joined in the applause and suddenly Vanessa was standing next to me, pulling me towards her and kissing me. ,,I'm proud of you. " she whispered before her lips really touched mine.
The applause didn't want to stop and when Vanessa took her lips from mine, someone finally said something. "I'm proud of you both." Said Roberto, who walks towards us with a smile. Next, Lilli stood up, "I'm happy for you."
After really all the cast had commented on it, Nessa and I finally sat next to each other on a chair and for the first time there was no blanket over our legs. I held her hand in public and felt liberated. Now there was only one coming out, the coming out in front of my family and Nessa's family
Cami sat across from us, smiled at us and gave us a thumbs up. When Roberto finally started his speech, I put my head on my girlfriend's shoulder and listened to his speech. "Another season is over and I'm really happy that we all get along well and have welcomed our new lovers with open arms. Unfortunately we also had to take a loss, unfortunately our Luke passed away. Unfortunately he lost the fight. " A murmur ran through the cast and I winced. Vanessa immediately put her arms around me and kissed my cheek. Everyone here knew how much Luke meant to me and to know that he'd finally lost the fight broke my heart. Luke meant a lot to the others too. "Luke was a light in all of our lives and we all loved him. We will never forget him." Roberto continued, "We, the whole production team, thank you for this new season, you are special and we will never forget Luke!"

Vanessa
Finally I could openly show that I love Madelaine. The grief for Luke, however, ate my heart and so I buried my face in her red hair and pulled her body closer to me. Luke's death also hit Madelaine hard. It was Zoé who broke the silence. "May Luke rest in peace." She raised her glass. "On Luke!" Everyone else raised their glasses and toasted with her, including Mads and me. "On Luke!" we screamed. Madelaine sipped her champagne while I put my orange juice back. I felt drained and not in a celebratory mood, more like crying. So the party flowed past me without my noticing, gently pushed Madelaine off me and left the building, ignoring the questioning looks.
In front of the building I couldn't hold it back anymore I started crying and screaming.
Why did Luke have to die?! Why he ? Why do the best people always die?
The door of the building opened behind me. I felt her before I saw her. Madelaine, Lilli and Camila. Madelaine grabbed my shoulders, turned me to her and pulled me into a tight hug, which Lilli and Cami immediately threw themselves into. "It's okay...", Mads whispered, "Let it out." And so I sobbed and cried into the embrace of my best friends and my girlfriend. When the tears stopped, I crawled out of my arms and stared at the trio, "Why did you follow me?" I didn't mean the question in a bad way, it kind of interested me. "We were worried we'd have to leave your wife here begging so we could come and look for you." Gargled Lilli. You could clearly hear that the blonde was drunk and that made her even cuter. Cami and Mads, on the other hand, seemed relatively sober. Cami took a quick step towards me and grabbed my shoulders. Jap Cami was sober, reacting as usual when she was worried. "How are you sweetie?" Ask the black haired. "Wow wow wow, give her some air to breathe. And Lilli, I'm not her wife, we're not married." Mads pulled Cami away from me a little and then looked me in the eyes searchingly. I felt like she was scanning and analyzing every single part of my body.

Madelaine
I sent Cami and Lil back into the building to talk to my girlfriend alone. The two weren't particularly thrilled, but (I quote) "They want us to have our privacy and let us do our thing." I'd only smiled, but internally I was rolling my eyes. "Okay Nessa, what's up?" Vanessa's chocolate brown eyes met mine and she started to cry. "It's not the right time to celebrate, Luke! I pulled her back into a hug and kissed her head, "We all miss him." Vanessa shook her head, "He was so much more to me baby." I looked at her cautiously, "What do you mean? ' Vanessa's eyes were like milk, 'He was like a second father to me. He knew about my sexuality before you did and helped me tell my parents the truth at the time that I was bisexual."
I looked at her understandingly and took her face in both hands. "I see, do you want to go home?" Vanessa shook her head again, I don't want to spoil your evening, but can we stay outside a little longer?
