Chapter 24

Madelaine
Nervousness. You were nervous before a new season or before an exam ( For my part, I almost fainted before every math exam) You were nervous when you met someone for the first time.
What I discovered now was stronger than nervousness and now don't ask me what it's called. I don't know that myself.
"Are you ready mouse?" Camila asked me, knocking on the bathroom door. "Yes. But I feel like I'm about to have a seizure. I'm way too scratched up for all this!" I sighed. "I see... may I come in?"
"Yes... but only when Vanessa is gone."
Camila opened the door and smiled, "I wouldn't even think of coming in if Vanessa was still here. Seeing the bride right before the wedding brings bad luck." I looked at my maid of honor gratefully, "Can you help me with the dress?" When Camila nodded, I turned my back to her. She zipped my zipper up and stroked my shoulders. "Who would have thought that you and Vanessa  get married at first ..." I smiled at my best friend, "Nobody. I always thought Cole and Lilli would say yes first."
,,I feel the same way."
I turned around abruptly and hugged the black-haired woman, "Thank you!"

My wedding dress was tight, long and had an incision on the right side. At the décolleté it had white silk and an O-neckline. My white high-heels slithered down to mid-calf. A make-up artist was here earlier and did my make-up for the wedding. My lips gleamed red, my lashes were pushed and my eyelids glittered white-silver. My red hair was curled and the front strands were pinned back.

When my dad walked in he almost cried. "I'm so incredibly proud to call you my daughter Mads." And here I am standing in front of the church with Mom and Dad by my side. "Are you excited Mads?" my mother asked me. "Yes, and how..." She smiled lovingly at me, "And that's completely natural. Vanessa is definitely the same!"

Vanessa
"I WILL NEVER SURVIVE THIS DAY!" I snapped, tossing my hairbrush next to Lilli's dressing table. Lilli looked at me in amusement and Siona, with River on her arm, held back a laugh. "You will not die." Lilli tried to calm me down. "I think I'm about to have a heart attack!" I snapped and lay on my back
Lilli's bed falls. "simulant." Siona's voice teased. “Fuck you, my dear Siona” Smiling, Lilli sat down next to me and put her hand on my shoulder and I hear Siona laugh. "How can we help you, Nessa?"
,,My hair."
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Siona pull off River and join us. "Sit down properly then." I obeyed and the 16 year old girl started to work on my hair.
20 minutes later she let go of me and I dared a look in the mirror. My brown hair fell in waves over my shoulders. Siona had braided the front strands back and twisted them into a bun on top of my head. "You look amazing." said Lili. It was true...I had decided against makeup and just wore my wedding dress, heels and yes...my hair.
My wedding dress consisted of a tight bodice and a bushy skirt. The bodice had thin straps and a V-neckline. "Madelaine is lucky to marry you today. Soe loves you more than she has ever loved anyone before." I smiled at the blonde, "And I feel the same for her."

When we got to the church, my mom hugged me right in. "You look great Vanessa." She whispered. Lilli, my maid of honor, smiled, "Yes, and she makes Madelaine very happy." smile played on her face "And Mads makes our daughter very happy."
After my parents entered the church with River, Lilli held out her arm. I had decided to let Lilli lead me into the church. mads and I addressed that. She let Cami and I let Lilli. "Yeah... well, more or less. Let's hope I don't fall or something." I grabbed the arm of the laughing Lilli and together we made our way to the entrance.

Madelaine
I clutched Cami's arm tightly as she walked me into the church. Vanessa was led in by Lilli at the same time and the sight of her was incredible. When we stood in front of each other I couldn't help it, I grinned and Vanessa couldn't help but smile. "You look beautiful!" I whispered to Vanessa.
,,You just have to say that!"
"We are gathered here today to lead these two young women into the sacred bond of marriage..." the pastor began. "If it is your free will we will begin with the vows..."
Vanessa got up and grabbed my hand... ,,Madelaine Petsch. I've always been a stubborn person and probably always will be. Thank you for taking me like this. I really love you, I always do. We are like two butterflies flying through the fans together and together we can do anything. You are the woman I want to grow old with and  have a child next to River. I am grateful to Riverdale and especially to Choni for getting to know and love you. I, Vanessa Morgan, take you as my married wife, I will love you, respect you and honor every day of my life, in good times and bad, in health and sickness, until death do us part."
Did I just almost have a sugar shock...? Yes.

Vanessa
The pastor smiled and nodded at me, then looked at Madelaine. Mads took a deep breath, "love is a great and big  feeling. And that's why you have to be careful who you say the L sentence. I can say it to you with a clear conscience Vanessa. i can say i love you And I mean that 100% seriously. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I thank you for that. You are the person who would do anything for me and I would do anything for you. Because you are important to me. Love is complicated and complex and that's why I'm grateful that I can feel your love and I want to let you feel mine. You're not alone Vanessa, never again.
I, Madelaine Petsch, take you to be my wife, I want to love, respect and honor you every day of my life, in good times and bad, in health and sickness, until death do us part."

Siona gave Madelaine the ring. "Put the ring on Vanessa Fimger's tip." Said the pastor and Mads did. "Vanessa, will you take Madelaine as your wife, love and honor her 'til death do you part, so you answer with Yes, I want"
,,Yes I do!"
"Madelaine, put the ring on Madelaine's finger."
Mads did and Siona gave me the ring. "Put the ring on the tip of Vanessa's finger." I did as I was told. "Madelaine, will you take Vanessa as your wife, love her and honor her until the death of us part 'till death do you part so answer yes, i will"
,,Yes I do!"
"Put the ring on Madelaine's fingertip."
As soon as I did that, the pastor continued. "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, I pronounce you to wife and wife. You may kiss the bride now.
I immediately wrapped my arms around Madelaine's neck and pulled her in for a kiss. As soon as my lips were on my wife's, I felt everything fall away from me. I felt perfect and happy. I had said to Madelaine "Yes I love you" to God and that meant so much to me.
The promise in Mad's vows was the truth. I will never be alone again! That with Mads and me, that was forever!
