I call Hart Publishing and let them know I can't work for them anymore and they seemed ok with it.
I can't believe I'm giving up my dream. I've always wanted to be a writer and I'm giving up an internship that could jumpstart my career.
"Hey me and you're dad want to talk to you" my mom says.
"What's up?"
"If you want, we can move somewhere else so that Jackson doesn't bother you" she says.
"He won't be coming around. No worries"
"Ok. We just want you to feel comfortable" she says.
"I know. It's ok. I'm going to be fine" I say tearing up.
"Are you sure?" My mom asks hugging me.
"These damn hormones"
"Yea. They will make you cry for no reason" my mom says giggling.
"Well let's get to my appointment"
Me and my mom get in the car and head to my appointment.
Once we get there, I get called back immediately.
"We're just taking some blood today" the doctor says.
"Ok"
"Are you ready to find out the sex? I bet you're excited" she says.
"Yes I am"
"Have you thought of names?" She asks.
"Actually, no I haven't. Once I find out the sex, I'm sure I can come up with something"
"Yea. We're all done. We will call you at the end of the day with results" she says.
"Ok thank you" I say getting up.
"I'm excited" my mom says.
"I know. Me too"
"Want to grab some food? You're eating for two now, so you have to get all those vitamins and protein" she says.
"Yes I'm starving"
"Are you taking you're prenatal vitamins?" She asks.
"Yes. Everyday"
"Ok good" she says.
We pull into the restaurant, order our food, and eat. We decide to go shopping for maternity clothes for when my belly gets big.
We finally finish shopping and head home.
"Have you thought about a baby shower?" My mom asks.
"No not yet. When do women usually have one?"
"Close to the end of the pregnancy. I can throw you one" she says.
"That's fine. I'm not sure how to do all this and you do so you're in charge" I say jokingly.
As I'm talking, I begin feeling sick and run to the bathroom.
"You ok in there" my mom yells.
"Yes I'm fine" I yell back.
I brush my teeth and come out of the restroom.
"I don't know why they call it morning sickness. I get all day sickness"
My mom busts out laughing.
"I got sick like that all the time too" she says giggling.
My phone rings and my mom and I get excited.
I answer and put it on speaker.
My mom yells for my dad to come into the room to hear.
"May I speak with Ms.Parks please?" The woman asks.
"This is she" I say.
"The results are in for you're blood test" she says.
"Yay" I say excitedly.
"You're having a girl" she says.
My mom and I squeal in excitement and hug each other.
"Congratulations on you're baby girl" the woman says.
"Yes ma'am thank you. Bye" I say and hang up.
My dad and mom both hug me and my mom is in tears.
"I'm so excited. I haven't shopped for a baby girl in years" she says wiping tears.
"I'm going to call Jackson's mom and let her know what the baby is" I say and walk away.
I dial Ms. Black's number and she answers.
"Hello Ellie. How are you?" She asks.
"I'm great. I just found out the sex of the baby"
"Oh my gosh. What is it?" She asks excitedly.
"I'm having a girl"
"That's great. I'm so excited" she says.
"Thank you. I just wanted to call and let you know the news"
"Ok Ellie. I'll talk to you later. Bye" she says hanging up.
I walk upstairs to my room excited about the news. A little girl. Wow.
I start thinking of names and find a perfect one.
Her name will be Ember rose parks.
Perfect.
