It's only a day away from graduation and I haven't bought my gown yet. I decide to call Jackson and see if he wants to go to the mall with me to find a nice dress to go with my cap and gown.
"Hey, do you want to go to the mall with me? I have to go shopping for graduation"
"I'd love to. We can get some baby stuff while we're there if you want. I'll pay for everything" Jackson says.
"I have a little money. I can help"
"Keep you're money. I'll meet you at the mall" he says and hangs up.
He's really going to be here for Ember and me. I'm surprised and happy about that.
I get in my car and head to the mall.
I walk inside to the food court and wait for Jackson as I eat a giant pretzel.
"Hello beautiful" I hear behind me as I turn around with a full mouth of pretzel.
Jackson laughs and kisses my forehead.
"Sorry I was starving" I say giggling.
"It's ok. Gotta feed Ms.Ember" he says rubbing my belly that's barely showing.
I give him a small smile and give him a kiss.
"You ready to help me find a dress?"
"Yes ma'am. I have to find a suit for tomorrow as well" he says.
"Ok well let's get shopping" I say with a smile.
We walk into a dress store, and I browse through the endless racks of ugly dresses.
"What about this one?" Jackson asks holding a long green dress.
"No, I don't like how long it is. The color is beautiful though"
He puts the dress back and continues helping me shop.
"I found the perfect one" he says smiling.
He lifts a red tight-fitting dress and it's beautiful. It's sophisticated and perfect for the occasion.
"That's beautiful" I say checking the price tag.
"Absolutely not. Three hundred dollars for a dress. That's outrageous" I say.
"I'll get it" Jackson says.
"No, you won't. That's way too much"
"Do you like the dress?" He asks.
"Yes but-"
"Ok I'm getting it" he says and walks up to the register.
"Jackson it's a lot"
He swipes his card and pays for it.
"Thank you" I say as he gives me a smile.
"Of course," he says.
"Well, we need to find you a suit"
"Yes we do" he says unenthusiastic.
We walk into a suit store and Jackson goes directly for all black.
"Nope. Let's try something different"
"What do you mean?" He asks.
"You always wear black. Let's pick a different color"
"You're going to put me in something brightly colored. I know it. We have to stick to dark. I don't like crazy bright colors" he says.
"I know. Just trust me"
I rummage through the dozens of suits and find a perfect one.
"Here" I hand it to him.
"This?" He says raising his eyebrows.
"What? It's dark"
"Yea but it's blue" he says.
"It's midnight blue. It will look nice on you"
"Fine. I'll wear it" he says.
"Yay" I say giving him a big smile.
He pays for it, and we walk out of the store.
"Ready to shop for bay stuff?" He asks.
"Yes" I say as we look for the baby store.
"There it is" Jackson says pointing to it.
We walk in and it's like a kids playroom. Everything you need is in this one store.
We begin looking around and realize we haven't bought anything. We need so much stuff.
"Let's wait and buy all the big stuff in New York and just get the small stuff here" I say.
"Ok that's fine. What do we need?" He asks.
"Just grab a buggy. I got this"
"Ok expert" he says laughing and grabs the buggy.
We begin walking around as I throw stuff in the buggy and Jackson asking, "what's that?" With everything that goes in.
"Butt cream, burp rags, a few newborn outfits, pacifiers, bottles, breast pump, swaddle blankets, bath items" I say pointing to everything to check off my list.
"I think we got most of what we need. We will get more at the baby shower" I say.
"The baby shower. Who's throwing you a baby shower?" He asks.
"My mom. If you're mom wants to help, that's fine"
"Yea I'll let her know about it" he says as we pay for the few items I picked.
We leave the mall and head to campus to pay for our cap and gowns and head to my house to drop off the baby items.
"Where have you two been all day?" My mom asks.
"We picked up our graduation outfits, picked up some baby stuff, and payed for our cap and gowns"
"Sounds fun" she says.
"Mom. Jackson and I want to talk to you" I say.
"About what?" She asks.
"We still want to go to New York"
"That's fine. You are both adults. What ever you two choose to do, I support it and I will help any way I can" she says.
"Thank you mom. I'm going to stay at Jackson's tonight. I will see you at graduation tomorrow" I say giving her a hug.
"Ok sweetie. I will see you two tomorrow. Love you" she says hugging us both.
We head over to Jackson's apartment and order pizza and pick a movie to watch together.
"Hey, I have an appointment after graduation tomorrow if you want to come?"
"I'd love to" he says kissing my forehead.
"Ok good because I want you there"
He gives me a smile and kisses me softly.
Our pizza gets there, and we eat while we watch our movie.
Once we finish our food and movie, we take a shower and lay down.
"Goodnight beautiful" Jackson says giving me a kiss.
"Goodnight" I say.
