"Ai laik okteivia gon skai kru en ai gaf gouthru klin."

"Klir, not klin. Now you Aurora." Lincoln said looking at me.

I cleared my throat, "Ai laik Aurora kom Skaikru en ai gif gouthru klir."

"Good job but make sure you say it with confidence. Both of you." Lincoln reminds

"Why do we have to learn this if you speak English?" Tavia questions

"Only our warriors speak English. Once we arrive at the sea, you need to sound like us." Lincoln informed

I sighed, "At least that means we have time."

Tavia opened a page in Lincoln's notebook,

"What's this?" She questioned

"A statue in my village. It's where we settle disputes." He replied, grasping on the arrow inside her leg

"Stop stalling and pull it-"

Before Tavia could finish her sentence, Lincoln ripped the arrow out of her leg causing her to wince in pain.

Lincoln then brings up a heated knife to her wound and presses it against it.

Lincoln looks at the tip of the arrow and licks it before spitting it out.

"Poison."

"So do you have the antidote?" I ask

"No. I gave it to Finn to save Raven." He sighs

"So we go back." Tavia huffs

"It's too far."

"But it's further to the sea..." I frown

"Lincoln we will not go back to your village." Tavia says

"Yeah we know what they do to traitors." I say

"I can't let you two die.. you were grazed and Octavia was hit!" He stated

"Death by 1000 cuts." Tavia says, Ignoring him

"Uh here take this. I'll be right back." He stammered, handing me a weapon

"Where are you going?" I asked

"The antidote I know where to find it. It comes from the beetles that eat the river moss. I'll go get the beetles. It'll work."

"I hope he stays safe." I groan, starting to feel weak

"I hope his people will accept us considering we started a war with them." Tavia says

All of a sudden, Tavia screams and points to something or someone?

I look at what she's pointing at and I scream and we both get up and run as fast as we can.

Lincoln runs towards up with a worried expression "What happened?"

"W-we saw a monster or some weird thing!" Tavia said looking around while I nodded

"Yeah it was a m-monster!" I yelled

"It's the poison. Both of you have a fever now. We need to go now." He frowns

He picks us up and starts to run through the forest

"Where are we going?" I question

"I know what to do. Just hold on." He replied

___

"Ai laik okteivia gon the skai kru en ai gaf gouthru klir..." Tavia said stammering over her words

We have been rehearsing our trig over and over and we both were feeling more and more sick

"You still haven't told us where we're going." I said

"Can't you smell it? We're almost to the ocean" Lincoln asks

Both Tavia and I inhale deeply

I can't smell anything.

"No I can't smell anything. I'm scared." Tavia whimpers

"Me too." I whimper

After what felt like hours, Lincoln sat us down at a huge rock.

"Now sleep. Before you know it, I'll have the antidote."

I look up and notice a familiar statue

We are at Lincoln's village...

"No.." I grumble

"You brought us to your village?" Tavia sighed

"I refuse to let you two die."

"But they'll kill you.." I cough

"Hey. Only if I'm caught. Hold on for a little longer ok?" He weakly smiles before kissing our foreheads

Then

He runs off

"We need to stay quiet too okay? We can't have anyone finding out we're here." Tavia murmurs

I weakly nod and rest my head on her lap and fall asleep.
