Reapercussions

"Hey wake up Rora. We're going after Lincoln." Tavia shook me awake

I looked at her and nodded my head, determined to save him.

We walked back to his camp and came in view of Indra and her people.

"You're going after the reapers. Let us help Lincoln taught us how to fight." Tavia said

"Kill them."

"Well I guess they don't know I'm a night blood." I mumble before running off with Tavia

After getting some distance between them, Tavia and I hid behind a tree and I held my breath as the ran past us.

"Let's follow them." I suggest

"Good idea." She smiles

We use the trees to follow them and they talk in trig so we can't understand them.

"Taim emo took the southern pass osir beda be able kom head em off fou en tunnel." A man said

"Shof op. Em tri laik listening." Indra scolded

We continued to follow them for another 15 minuets or so and they stop for a meeting or something? I can't tell since they aren't speaking any English.

"Em entrance kom en tunnel ste hir. Osir will ambush em hir." Indra said while drawing in some dirt

"Disha ste yu strat? tomas ste wounded. Artisans ste daun goufa-" one of them men said but was cut off by the boy who looked to be around 13

"Emo took ai nontu. Ai gaf gonplei." The boy said

"Can yu gonplei en reaper?" The man argued

"Stop!" Indra yelled

"We will strike from the shadows and they will stop to feed on our bait." Indra said

Why is she talking in English all of a sudden?

"So I'm the bait?" The boy questioned

"No. You are a warrior. They are the bait." Indra said looking in our direction

We hesitantly came out of our hiding spot and sighed.

"I am not afraid." Tavia said

"You will be."

We walk to a spot where Indra had us lay down and wait for the reapers.

We eventually heard footsteps and when we heard them get closer we jumped up and began to fight them off.

Indra's people did most of the work and one of the reapers managed to land a small slice on my cheek before he was shot with an arrow.

I looked behind me and saw a reaper about to stab Indra and Tavia and I simultaneously stabbed him.

I helped Indra up as Tavia took all of the head coverings off the prisoners.

"Natblita." Indra gasps, looking at my face

"So I've been told." I smirk before walking up to Tavia to see if Lincoln was there

He wasn't

"Lincoln? Where is he?" I questioned Nyko

"I don't know. I'm sorry." He frowns

Indra's people came running to untie their people and embrace them in hugs while we were left empty handed.

I hugged Tavia tight as she sobbed but I didn't cry. Especially not in front of the grounders.

"We will get him back. I promise. We'll do whatever it takes." I reassured

I sat her down and comforted her until she stopped crying.

Nyko approached us and we looked up at him.

"If you're going to kill me get it over with but spare Rora." She said bluntly

"You have proven yourself Aurora and Octavia of the sky people. We'll let you live." Nyko said

He held his hand for Tavia and I nodded to her while getting up myself.

"Lincoln was a good man, a brother to me."

Nyko then walked back to Indra and the rest of her people while Indra held a long eye contact with me

Well this should end well.
