Heartbreaker

Together

I woke up in my bed and got ready for school. I put on short shorts with a blue top and blue converse. I got on the bus and was listening to music. We showed up at school and jake had a baseball game. I couldn't go I had to go to my brothers play. We didn't really have much to say. Today was inrenchment and I was going to the gym. I went with Valerie and selene. We went to the very top of the bleachers and sat down.
"Is your boy comin?"
"Hell if I know."
"I think he is!"
I looked down and saw him come in. I was fine with it but I mean I wanted to hangout with my friends. He winked at me. I smiled and blushed. He went with his friends. They shot some hoops. One of his friends brought a small basketball goal and a mini ball. Jake had the ball and one of the boys held it over another kid. Jake jumped him and dunked the ball. He fell and I was laughing so hard. He come up the bleachers after that.
"Are you okay?"
"Yea... no that hurt."
"Where are you hurt?"
"My arm when I landed I put it down."
I took the arm that was hurt and kissed it.
"Actually my lips got hurt in the process to."
"Nice try!"
"Yea it was worth a shot!"
We laughed for awhile then he went back with his friends.
"Taylor aren't you going to go with him."
"No."
"Why not, yall are still dating right?"
"Yes god yes! We just want to be with our friends for awhile and we can't be together-"
"Because yalls friends don't mix."
"Selene-"
"No taylor go hangout with him it'd make me happier!"
"Thanks."
I ran down to him and jumped on his back. He fell I helped him up.
"Are you okay?"
"Yea."
"Your not hurt?"
"Actually-"
I kissed him before he said it. Some other people in there blocked us from the coaches. The coaches knew I was his girlfriend and they always compared me to him he was the fastest runner in athletics. I was the medium. He wrapped his arms around me from the back I tried to break free but I just gave up. I fell to the floor and just laid there.
"Do you need help getting up?"
"This floor actually feels really good!"
"It's cold that's why!"
Jake let me stay down then Valerie kicked me and I immediately got up.
"What the hell was that!"
"Bitch I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream!"
"Damn that hurt!"
I rubbed my side jake come over and put his hand on it and put pressure.
"Are you alright babe?"
"Yes."
He helped me up then next thing I knew Valerie was in a fight with a girl. I grabbed my side the coaches were breaking the fight up jake sat me on the bench. He wrapped his arm around my side to keep everything in place. One of the coaches ran over there to me. I was almost in tears.
"Jake carry her to the office and have them wrap her side!"
Jake said okay and picked me up that's when I started to cry. I wrapped my arms around his neck and dug my head into his chest.
"Shhh taylor I'm right here your gonna be fine."
I couldn't find a breathe to say anything back. It was so hard to breathe. Next thing i know he put me down on the couch and I curled up in a ball. It hurt so bad.
"Sit up honey let me look." The nurse said lifting me up. I was in tears I couldn't hold it jake was holding my hand and standing behind me.
"Jake you need to go back to class, we know she is your girlfriend we will call you when we find something out okay."
"Y...es....m..am, I love you taylor and I'll see you later..."
He left I couldn't talk still the nurse asked me to move my hand off my side. I did and she place her hand on it. "You've broke a rib we need to call your mom and take you to the hospital right now!"
They called my mom. The nurse and office asked if I wanted jake and they would call his mom and tell her what happened and where he'd be. I shook my head yes. The nurse told me to put my hand back were it was and hold it. They called jake he come running in and I was still crying they explained everything to him. My mom showed up they explain everything to her and jake carried me to the car. He got in the shot gun while the nurse was holding my side.
We arrived at the hospital and all I can remember was waking up in a hospital room with my mom and jake next to me. Jake was holding my hand asleep and my mom was watching tv. I could finally catch my breath to talk.
"Momma."
"baby your awake. What do you last remember?"
"I remember jake carrying me into the hospital and that's all I remember."
"Honey you broke your rib. You just got out of surgery we had to remove it so nothing else would get hurt."
I looked down and saw my stomach wrapped up. I tried to sit up but it hurt to bad. I woke jake up when I tried to sit up.
"Hey babe are you okay?"
"Why are you still here you should be at your game with your friends and your team."
"I went back, my friends told me to go visit you. I talked to the coach I tried to stay but he wouldn't let me. My friends and coach wanted me with you instead they were worried."
"I love you so much I can't explain."
"I love you to." He kissed my hand he left. My momma looked at me and had a huge smile on her face.
"What is it momma?"
"I have so much respect for him. I think he is right for you!"
I couldn't help but smile I looked away and grinned. Next thing i knew jake come in with his little sister and mom.
"Tawor yous ok!" His little sister said she ran up to me and gave me a huge hug.
"Taylor how are you. Can I talk to you by myself for a minute."
My mom and jake and his sister left us. A million things were going through my head I didn't know what was happening.
"My son really likes you. I'm sure you already know that but he cares so much about you its...I've never seen him like this before."
"I know but I'm the same I love him and can't lose him in anyway shape or form it'd be to hard."
" I'm glad you said that. That brings up a qeustion..."
"What is it?"
