Chapter 10

You knocked at Loki's door after you finished getting ready only to be welcome by the sight of him still in his pajamas.

"Loki, why? Don't you want to come?," your tone had a touch of sadness in them. Honestly you were having a second thought, you were worried that everyone would be afraid of you after seeing your power, so you needed emotional support and you wished Loki could be it.

"I... did not like the cold," he told you softly, noticing that you were upset at him not coming with you.

"I can put a spell so you won't get cold. What is the real reason?," You demanded, truly upset for not having the emotional support you wish.

"It's not you darling, it's me,"

You scoffed, "Don't use the horrible break up lines against me. What is the reason?,"

He sighed, you upset was not the sight he liked to see, he took you inside his room and closed the door behind you, "As you know I was adopted," he started but still unsure whether you would like the explanation. You encourage him to continue, so he did, "my lineage... was not the same as Thor. I am... a jotunn," there he said it.

You raised an eyebrow at that, what was he expecting of you when he said that, "A giant? So what's..."

"A frost giant, I'll just show you instead," he cut your words and with a flash of green magic he changed into his real form, blue skin and bright red eyes. Your eyes fell to the unique patterns on his forehead. He was a bit taller and bulkier than usual but his face was still the same. He looked distant, Like expecting you to scream and run, to reject him.

"What's so wrong about this? You still looked handsome and tall, and more bulkier than usual which I had no complaints about. But it's still you. Seriously Loki, what is the reason?," You demanded since you didn't see anything wrong but he was just being unreasonable.

He looked relieved that you weren't afraid of him and now confused about why, "I'm small for a giant offspring darling, at least that's what Odin said. he found me and kidnapped me from the temple," he spat the last sentence, "I just, don't like for what i am. For centuries I was taught that jotun was a monster and even growing up I was taught to slander them, my own people,"

"Odin was such an asshole," you said simply without a care. Loki looked shocked and quickly covered your mouth.

"Please don't say things so boldly! Even though you are right, you shouldn't say things so openly, I don't want you to be in trouble. And not with Odin, he can be... what you just said so please be careful," you nodded at him obediently, you really didn't care what Odin might do to you, but you would care what trouble would Loki be in if you were careless.

"Okay back to the topic. Loki, from what I learn to be your devotee is that I have to put myself and my happiness first, which includes not listening to things people say to bring me down. Isn't this what you expect from me?. Others' opinions don't matter, only your own," you told him firmly, he had taught you to love yourself, and now you wanted him to do the same.

He sighed but smiled widely, "this is why i adore you," he went closer and kissed your forehead, putting back the illusion on his body.

"Why change back?," You were confused, you thought he wanted to stay in his real form.

"I don't want to hurt you," he said sheepishly, "Being frost giant means I can hurt or kill others with just a touch of my skin. It could cause severe frostbite," he explained.

"But i heal fast?,"

He laughed, "Yes dear you are, but doesn't mean you don't feel pain, i don't want you to suffer until you healed," he told you sternly knowing damn well you would suggest he touch you in his real form just to prove some stupid point just to bring his confidence back.

"Okay, I will listen this time. If you don't want to come then you are welcome to stay in my room and watch some movies. I'll be back maybe after lunch so ask Jarvis to order some food for you. Okay?,"

He puffed up, annoyed that you treated him like a child, "I'm a thousand years old, i'm not a child and can take care of myself. And it was amusing that you think you can go without me after saying all those sweet things,"

You chuckled, "Okay, if you decided to go then i'll protect you my dear god,"

He laughed, but reassure since he knew you meant what you said, "I don't even want to question that,"

true to your words, no one dared to question Loki when he changed into a big blue guy with bright red eyes in the arctic. Steve, Nat, and Clint wisely not to comment on that and you didn't need to force them to keep their opinion to themselves. Tony on the other hand, this was the time when you hated him the most. He couldn't keep his opinion to himself and you had to threaten him with a lot of things and one of them was his suit. Finally he wisely did not comment on Loki's form.

you started to show everyone your power and you knew tony was recording, it was so obvious even though he said he did no such thing. You started from the basic things like flying with the help of wind, and then calling out dark clouds, lightning, rain, storm, and a non dangerous typhoon just for an example.

"This was a basic thing I could do, and it didn't really need much energy because a lot of times it activated through my emotion as you see back then. So Stark, prevent from angering me too much," you tried to joke but right now it wasn't as funny so you stopped at that.

"and what i said about i can control the element to some degree was this," you showed them how you caused the sea water to rise dangerously high and then froze it, creating a big wall of crystal clear ice.

"Wow," Tony said dumbfounded, "someone please remind me not to anger her next time," he said to everyone who could hear him.

you expected a blood curdling scream calling you a monster but your team was pretty chill, and in thought, "this might be really useful in mission," Steve thought out loud, "but why don't you want anyone to know?,"

you went back to the ground and made a snowball, trying to distract yourself from the nerve going on your body, "obviously because i was hiding from Hydra. Can you imagine what would happen if I got caught and made a Hydra puppet? world domination that's what will happen. and it's not like I don't want to use this power. but, the damage was too much," your power could cause natural disasters so you rarely used it. even though it always activated with your emotion but still the damage wasn't as big as when you used it for purpose.

"Can I research more about this power of yours?," Tony then asked you.

you raised an eyebrow, "Why? forget about making a power suppressor i can take it off easily," you smirked at him and pretend that you didn't already do that with Loki.

"No god! I already know that but I'm just curious about how this power worked. In my opinion you have some kind of a bond with nature, that's why they react to your calling and are even activated with emotions. it's just fascinating," he mumbled at himself, thinking about something you didn't know. He might be thinking about how he should update his suit so your power didn't work on him. He did that already with Thor's power. but still it's beyond his understanding, if he could do magic then it might be possible but Tony was a skeptic man.

you smirked at Loki and showed him what you thought. He smirked back and saluted you as a sign of agreeing for whatever you wanted to do. You laughed and hit Thor with the snowball on your hand, and quite hard at that.

Thor flinched at the sudden attack and his face was full of snow, he sighed, "little one, don't start with me," he told you dryly, already knowing what you were about to do. it wasn't hard to guess when you had the same mischievous level as his brother in which he knew for 1000 years.

"I don't know what you're talking about," you said innocently but still making a snowball in your hand.

"oh it's on," he said playfully and made the biggest snowball he could manage to hit whoever was closest.
