Adrian stared up at the mansion-like house, slightly embarrassed that he offered Laynette money and a house. He glanced around the neighborhood and noticed that it was the biggest one, he felt even more embarrassed."Oh god." He muttered to himself as he ran his hand through his hair as he rested his other on his hip.
He knew had to get this over with, especially when he promised her brother. The day they left the hotel, he offered to pay for the women's flights since he made them miss it. As they pulled up to the airport, Laynette accidentally answered a call from her brother and all that could be heard was yelling through the phone. He watched her face go red from anger or embarrassment as her brother yelled for 2 minutes straight. The last thing her brother yelled was to bring her husband home before hanging up.
Although it was two days late, Adrian was here, meeting Laynette's family. He was nervous, he never met any of his ex's family before so he didn't know what to expect. Even though their marriage was a mistake, he wanted to make a good impression for the sake of his character.
"Let's get this over with." He sighed as he started walking up the pathway before stopping "Maybe I should call her before going in." He muttered.
Before he could take his phone out, he saw the door slam open and there Laynette was. She was in a light blue spaghetti strap dress that hugged her curves oh so well and her hair was in a neat high bun.
He watched as she strutt towards him with a smile that caught him off guard but he smiled back nonetheless. The closer she got the more he noticed how high the slit was on her dress, it was right below her hip and he felt his pants tighten. Shit, he thought as he looked away to clear his mind.
She was a few centimeters away from him when he thought to greet her. Before he could get a word out, she hugged him. He was startled at first but wrapped his arms around her to a tight embrace.
She smiled at him, "My brothers are inside."
He nodded "I know." He said in an obvious tone.
She rolled her eyes "They are watching us through the security cameras." she explained; He glanced at the house, this time noticing the three cameras. "Plus, I didn't tell them the truth." She admitted.
