Chapter 10

Adrian used his jacket to cover her front "Lovely." He whispered huskily in her ear as he embraced her "I want to rip that dress off you so bad." He nuzzled his face into her neck.

She knew her face flush red at his words, his breath on her neck caused her to shiver. The way he whispered in her ear nearly caused her to melt into his arms. She snapped out of it, she wasn't going to let his sweet words seduce her again. She promised herself that she wouldn't get involved with him like that again.

She tried to move herself from his embrace but his grip tightened causing her to stop "Ow." She winced.

He loosened his grip but didn't let go, "Lovely," he admired her from toe to head before looking into her eyes "you look so gorgeous." He stated as he cupped her cheeks.

She got caught up in his intense stare that she didn't notice he was closing in for a kiss.

A hand blocked Adrian's mouth "Aht" Grace voiced out "Don't mess up this masterpiece, Adrian." Grace smiled at Laynette "It fit you better than I thought." She smiled as she turned Laynette towards her "You look fabulous, darling." She twirled her around "Let's get your photos started." She led Laynette to the area where she would take her photos "Get ready on my command." She ordered before leaving.

Laynette started to get visibly nervous as everyone stared at her. She's been very sensitive when she felt eyes on her and that was because one of her ex's stalked her for three years. Now it was finally dawning on her that she would be in the public eye and the thought of that made her feel uneasy.

Adrian frowned as he watched Laynette tense up and start to fidget about. He glanced around the room while everyone stared at her and whispered amongst themselves, he frowned before making his way over to her.

She saw Adrian coming her way and started to relax. She slightly frowned, why did that make me relax? She wondered.

"Lovely," he grabbed her hands, "no need to be nervous." He tried to catch her eyes "Just a few clicks and they're done." He noticed that none of those words got through to her so he tried a different approach "Lovely, look at me." She did "You're going to do great." He smiled at her "I know you will. I have a lot of faith in you." He admitted "I know once you put your mind to it, you can achieve it. Remember when neither Lukas nor Landon could help Trey with his origami find and you spent 2 hours learning how to do it?"

She smiled at the memory "I also remember someone doing a horrible job to make Trey feel better, too." She teased.

He slightly blushed "The kid looked like he was going to cry so I-"

"Ah ah ah." She cut him off. "It was sweet of you." She leaned into him.

He engulfed her in a hug "As I was saying," he cleared his throat before pulling her away "You're going to do great, lovely." Adrian reassured her again with a gentle tone.

"Ok." She said, finally believing him. He gave her hands a squeeze before walking off the set. She watched him before her eyes went right to the photographer.

"Ready, Laynette?" Grace called out behind the photographer.

Laynette took a deep breath before giving her a smile "I'm ready."

Grace started calling out directions, it took Laynette a few shots in before getting into it. She tried her best to ignore the stares and focus on what Grace was saying.

"Cut!" Grace yelled "Laynette you did a wonderful job." She praised, making the woman smile "Has your wife thought of becoming a model?" Grace asked Adrian as she turned to him.
