"Come on blow for me!"
Namjoon looked at Jin who stood there with a brilliant smile. He tilted his head to the side, "Elaborate on that please. What exactly am I blowing?"
"I am obviously talking about the candle silly." He grinned pointing down.
Namjoon then noticed the mini candle on the cupcake with blue icing. He raised his eyebrows very confused. When did they start giving out cupcakes at lunch?
"I'm in the middle of finishing my charts. If you want me to blow you it will have to be after my shift. I apologize for the inconvenience."
"No! Fuck. I don't want you to blow me. Well, I do but not right now. I want you to blow out the candle. Come on, it's running low!"
Namjoon rolled his eyes and quickly blew the candle to please him. Jin clapped like he had done the greatest accomplishment yet.
"What is the cupcake for? Do you know I have a family history of diabetes and my chances of getting it are very high? You should really consider offering me sweets."
"Are you kidding me? The cupcake is for your birthday! One small cupcake won't hurt you."
"Oh. That's today? Huh, so that's what Jungkook and Jimin were blabbing about a while ago. They gave me some gift cards. I'm assuming that's what it's for. I just thought they heard about my last surgery and wanted to congratulate me."
"You're joking right? That's a good one. Pretending to not know your birthday. You're so silly." He laughed, patting his back.
When Namjoon remained silent, Jin stopped laughing. "You're so bland. How do you forget your own birthday?"
"I've been awake for a whole day. Things can get confusing when you don't get enough sleep. Did you know as surgeons we increase our risk of so many diseases due to our lack of sleep? Funny how we save lives but are secretly killing ourselves."
"You're twenty-eight now! That's a reason to celebrate! Let's not worry about our future slow death. Today is a day to be happy and enjoy it. Your mom birthed you twenty-eight years ago!"
"How do you know my age? That's a bit creepy. The image of my mother birthing me makes my skin crawl."
"I looked through your files when you started working with me and I just didn't forget. Why are we discussing this anyways? It's not creepy. I just want to celebrate with you."
"I mean you're the one that brought up my birth."
"Ahh. Can you just eat the cupcake? Or do you not like that either?"
"They're okay. I haven't had one in months. I can certainly eat one now." He murmured while taking a bite.
"Did you make a wish when you blew the candle?" He asked curiously.
Namjoon shook his head, "Was I supposed to?" He responded with a mouth full.
"Of course you were. Can I at least take you out to dinner or something? I didn't get you a gift, but I can buy you whatever you want."
He wrinkled his nose as he continued eating. Jin pouted. He never knew that a person could be this difficult.
"You can buy me a cherry coke and hang out with me in my car after my shift."
"That's all you want?"
He nodded, bawling the cupcake paper. Before Jin could say anything else he took his glasses off and leaned over to kiss his mouth.
Jin was so startled that his ears got hot. Good thing they were alone in the room. Namjoon kissed him very eagerly. It was nothing compared to his typical calm self.
The kiss was so intense that Jin could taste every part of the cupcake. From the icing sprinkles to the actual bread. When Namjoon pulled away he had a smirk on his face.
He quickly put on his glasses and readjusted them. Jin was standing there a little frozen. Namjoon reached over to wipe his lower lip.
"You had some icing. I'm a messy eater when it comes to sweets."
"Yeah...I can...tell."
"I look forward to seeing you." He smiled and with that he was gone.

"You're going to enjoy Jackson. He's great at what he does. Outside of work he's very goofy, but when it comes to orthopedic surgery he's so intense. It's truly fascinating. I actually considered orthopedics once." Yoongi commented.
Jimin, who was laying on Yoongi's lap, looked up at him. He was softly playing with his hair and it was almost putting him to sleep until he heard his deep voice.
They currently had a small break and they were able to meet in Yoongi's nap room. Although the bed wasn't big enough for them and not as soft as he preferred it was still comforting to be there with him.
"I bet. I'm excited to learn about bones. He seems like a fun guy to work with."
"He is. Don't take everything he says so seriously though. He's a little jokester."
"Can you imagine when Namjoon gets to be on his service?" Jimin giggled.
Yoongi couldn't help laughing as well, "I can see it. It's going to be epic."
"I have two and half more months to study for my residency." Jimin said.
"You will pass, I'm sure you will." Yoongi encouraged.
"What if I don't?" Jimin wondered. The question lingered his mind. He would have to retake the exam and the probabilities of staying at Medica Zone would be slim.
"Then it will be okay, but I doubt you will fail. Either way we will find a way to be together."
Be together. The words sent flutters down Jimin's spine. Did that mean Yoongi was wanting this to be long term? Forever?
As ridiculous as it sounded, Jimin had hopelessly fallen in love with Yoongi even if it had only been four months. The connection he felt towards him was indescribable. Something he had never felt before.
Every time he looked at Yoongi he felt his world spin. The butterflies emerged within him and all he could think about was undressing him and professing his love in the filthiest ways.
"Yoongi?"
"Yes?"
"Do you want to come over to my place?"
"Yeah. Of course I would love to." He replied a little too fast.
"Okay good. One more thing?"
"Yeah?"
"Please be my boyfriend." He blurted, keeping his eyes on him.
Yoongi looked down at his lap to see if he was joking, but his tone didn't sound jokingly. Neither was the expression on his face.
"What?"
Jimin got up from his lap and leaned closer to his face. Barely leaving any space between them. He hated to try to rush him, but he wanted to claim Yoongi. He wanted to be his completely without hiding it to the world.
"I...want to but..." Yoongi lost his words. He grew frustrated with himself for not being able to explain what he felt. How could he when he didn't even understand it himself?
Instead of Jimin lashing out on him or being upset, he smiled warmly, pressing his hand against Yoongi's face. In a sweet comforting way.
Yoongi swallowed down shamefully. Why couldn't he devote himself to Jimin the way he was? Why was it so difficult to let go?
"It's okay. I'll try again later. I have an eternity to keep trying."
