" They abandoned us. "Hyo-ryung asked, as the tears fell from her face.
" No one will come to save us now, right? " No one responded.
" Why did they do that..? "
" Maybe. Maybe they fucking thought we were zombies. " Wu-jin said.
" Then they would've killed us. They wouldn't have left without killing us first. " Joon-yeong replied.
Cheong-san exhaled sharply, running over to the fire and kicking it, till it went out.
" What are you doing? " On-jo yelled, pulling him back.
" It's useless. No one's coming. No one is coming now. " He ran over to the SOS sign they made, kicking it apart before screaming out into the air.
Nam-ra, who was standing next to Hyun suddenly fell to the ground, covering her ears.
" Hey, what's wrong? " She asked, putting her arm on Nam-ra's shoulders.
" My ears... they hurt.. so much. " Nam-ra replied, shaking softly.
Hyun reached into her pocket trying to find anything when she came across a small tissue.
Wrapping them up into 2 tiny balls, she handed them to Nam-ra.
" Here. Use these. "
Nam-ra smiled softly, before taking the tissue out of Hyun's hands, and placing them into her ear.
" Thank you. " She softly mumbled, before Hyun sat down next to her.
They talked for a little, discussing potential plans when something hit both of their skin.
Hyun looked up, and saw as a thunderstorm formed, raining all over the rooftop.
" it's raining! " Dae-su exclaimed, as they all stood up, trying to collect the water to drink.
Dae-su and Wu-jin layed on the ground, collecting the water in their mouths.
Hyun looked up into the sky, feeling tears run down her face.
" Please... We just want to go home. " She whispered, no one hearing her as her voice got drowned out by the sound of rain hitting the ground.
They all stayed still, not moving from their spot as they calmed down in the rain.
Nam-ra shook when hearing the thunder, causing Hyun to crouch back down, wrapping her arms around her.
Su-hyeok paused, thinking if he should go and help but decided not to, and walked over to Cheong-san who was in the middle of talking to Joon-yeong.

The students crouched in a small spot, with a sheet over their heads as a shelter.
" If we can reach the mountain, we can make it to Yangdong. I went hiking there a few times with my dad. " On-jo explained.
" Don't you think it's too crazy to try? " Wu-jin asked.
" I'm not going. I'm scared. What if the zombies catch us. "
" It's not like anyone will save us if we stay here. We're the only ones who can save ourselves. " Cheong-san said, reasoning with the group.
He walked up, standing in front of everyone else.
" Let's go. If anything happens, I'll scream and lead the zombies away. If anything, I'll die alone. So let's go. "
" Don't say that. We should all live. " Su-hyeok sternly replied, standing up as well.
" If anyone has to die, I'll die in their place. " Cheong-san said, ignoring his comment.
" Because of the rain, all scents are mixed together. The rain is really loud. "
As much as Hyun can deflect the pain better than Nam-ra, she couldn't help but admit a headache was forming, as she rubs her temples slowly, trying to ignore the pain as quietly as possible.
Sadly that wasn't the case, as Su-hyeok put his hand on her shoulder, checking to see what the problem was.
" It's.. It's nothing. Don't worry. It won't stop me from moving. " Hyun explained, trying to get the boy off her back.
" If you say so... Just don't be afraid to ask for my help. " She nodded, sending him a comforting smile, turning around but not before seeing him send one back.
" i'm sure the zombies' senses are dulled. " Nam-ra said, as Hyun joined back in on the conversation.
" If that's what a hambie says, it should be reliable. "
Hyo-ryung glared at Dae-su, hitting his leg.
" So is Hyun.. what if she has a different opinion, huh? "
Hyun smiled, at Hyo-ryung not wanting anymore fights to break out.
" It's fine.. I agree. "
" What's a hambie? " Su-hyeok curiously asks.
" It's a half... reliable person. Besides, prez is strong. " Dae-su replied, avoiding Su-hyeok's gaze.
" Hambie.. " Su-hyeok mumbled, not believing his answer.
" I'm not strong right now. " Nam-ra spoke, causing worry.
" Why not? " Ji-min asked.
" I don't know. " She responded, looking down at her hands.
" Some of us may not be able to keep up. " Ji-min remarked.
" We can't have anyone fall, so let's pair up and hold hands. To protect each other. " Cheong-san suggested.
" Ok. Hey. " Dae-su reached his hand out to Hyo-ryung, only for her to reach her hand out to Ji-min.
Hyun reached her hand out to Nam-ra, pulling her up as the two walked together.
Wu-jin paired up with Joon-yeong, and On-jo with Cheong-san.
Dae-su stood frozen in his spot after getting rejected.
" Oh c'mon... " Su-hyeok sighed, taking his hand.
" Let's go. " Su-hyeok annoyingly grumbled, pulling Dae-su along with him as the other boy chuckled.
" Ah.. you were hoping Hyun would hold your hand? I guess not-- "
" Shut up! "
" Both of you be quiet! "
" Sorry Hyun.. "
" Sorry.. "
