The fire was burning bright as the students sat around in a circle. All Hyun could think about was getting out of the school, and living a normal life once more.

The first thing she would do is search for her dad. No doubt when it's safe to go out, the zombies would be gone. That's great and all... but that would also mean mom would be gone.

She wished for a miracle. A miracle where her mom would miraculously survive, turning back human. How? No idea, but it'd sure be great if possible.

Hyun still had hope. She had hope that maybe her dad was out there, searching for her just like On-jo's dad. Maybe.

" Dae-su. " Su-hyeok said, breaking the silence.

" yes? "

" how was your audition? " he asked. " They told me to lose weight. " Dae-su replied, his eyes still closed.

Su-hyeok chuckled, " You're a good singer. Sing for us. I want to hear it. " He requested. " Forget it. I don't want to sing. " He replied.

" I really liked that song. " Joon-yeong pointed out. " you do? "

" yes. "

" really? "

" it's really nice. you sing well. it'll really cheer us up. " Dae-su smiled at the compliment, taking a deep breath before he started singing.

Let's go once it's over

Let's go anywhere

Once we're done studying 12 hours a day

Once the annoying sounds are over

Let's go hand in hand~

One by one, the other started to sing along. Bringing a smile to Dae-su's face. All except for Nam-ra and On-jo who sat next to each other, sharing a blanket.

~Let's not run

Let's try walking slowly

Is that droll or sweat pooled on the book?

No one notices the plop, plop

The plop, plop

The falling rain drops

What is boiling? Simmer, simmer

It's Mom's doenjang stew

A bowl of instant noodles

In front of the tv which plays nothing but static

Let's go anywhere together

" What a nice song. " Hyo-ryung smiled, after the song finished.

" You said it sucked. "

" Now that I actually listened to it, I think it's nice. " She replied. " That was encouraging, Dae-su. "

" Yeah, you really do have a great voice. " Hyun complimented.

" When did you... start smoking? On-jo asked.

" Since the eight grade. I had one friend only.. If I could even have called her my friend. Me and Hyun were merely just classmates. Besides, she would always hang out with you guys. I didn't feel as if I should talk to her to relieve the stress I was feeling. "

Hyun turned around when hearing her name, putting her hand on top of Nam-ra's. " You could always talk to me you know, I'm here for you. "

Nam-ra smiled back at the kind words. " I know now. I didn't before. "
