"We're nearly here" I let Brooke know as we pull into the car park for the flat."Wow, these flats looks amazing!" She sounded genuine. I wonder what type of place she lived in.
I pulled into my parking spot, and got Brooke's suitcase out of the boot.
"Don't worry; there's a lift" I said, trying to read her mind.
"You read my mind haha" told you...
We walked into the front doors and went to the lift. I pressed the 9th floor and waited as the lift headed straight up to my floor. I handed Brooke a key that she could borrow whilst she was staying with me. I didn't want her to think she had to leave and come back with me all the time. Actually I'd find that quite annoying to be fair.
"Home sweet home" I presented as I opened the front door. I showed Brooke down to her room and left her to settle in whilst I messaged Tim.
Katie Bolotvic:
Your package has arrived safely at MY homeTim Clark:
Very good, you're a star ⭐️When I glanced at the clock on the oven I could see it was nearing 6:30. Would Brooke want tea? Does she eat tea? Is she a vegetarian?
I walked towards her makeshift bedroom and knocked lightly.
"Hey Brooke, do you want any tea?" I asked through the door?
"Erm coming" she shouted and stumbled across the floor. She opened the door seeming a little out of breath.
"Sorry I was just hanging my clothes up, is everything okay?" She seemed panicked.
"Yeah don't worry I just wondered if you were hungry?"
"Oh yeah I'm starving to be fair? Shall I cook us something?" She offered.
"Oh no no you're my guest, I can cook. Is there anything you don't like?" I can cook most things, I like cooking. And as much as I hate to admit it, it would be nice to cook for someone other than myself.
"Nope, I'll literally eat anything. But I don't mean that whatever you make won't be delicious, I just meant that whatever you make I'll eat...shit that didn't sound any better. I'm just gonna stop speaking." I just smiled at her and turned on my heels towards the kitchen. I could feel her following me.
"You can use the television. Watch whatever you'd like to" I offered. I turned the oven on whilst Brooke navigated the telly. I looked in the fridge and decided on Chicken Paella with Chorizo.
I got to work preparing al of the spices and rice before offering to help Brooke who I could see was massively struggling with choosing something to watch.
"Anything caught your fancy?" I saw her jump back a bit.
"No no sorry I just wasn't sure what you'd like to watch?"
"Honestly Brooke, I'll watch anything as long as it's in English. Then again as long as it's got subtitles I'd probably still watch it."
We decided on series 1 of Misfits. I learnt that we both watched it when it came out on channel 4 but hadn't watched it since.
I kept a close eye on our tea, going back and forth to the kitchen to add more stock to the rice dish. After an hour it was ready.
Brooke set us both a setting at the table and cut us some French stick to have with our tea. I placed us both a dish of steaming hot paella on the placemats.
I sat down opposite Brooke and waiting for her to tuck in before I started on my own.
"This is so good! Like proper food!"
I blushed, I've never cooked for anyone apart from my brother before and he has the taste buds of a 1 year old so the compliments are coming a plenty from there.
"Aww good! There's plenty left so feel free to take some to the office tomorrow" I offered her and she smiled pointing at her mouth to indicate it was full of food.
After tea, Brooke offered to wash the pots whilst I settled down for the night. It was still early but there was no way I was going out for a one night stand tonight! I decided to carry on with the Skins series that I had not yet finished.
I could feel myself drifting just as Freddie and Effy made their relationship official. I turned the tv off and set my alarm, hoping for a non-eventful week.
