Walking through the glass doors of the Kim corporation Ji-ung sighed. He was fed up with the life he was living. Working under a devil was not easy afterall. No! He was not involved with the mafia but still he was working in the company and that was enough to suppress him into following Han-Gyoel's orders. He slowly got into the elevator and pressed the button to the topmost floor.
Coming out onto the rooftop he saw a man standing there. He smiled to himself knowing fully well who the man was. "Hyung!" he called out making his way towards the said man. "Oh Ji-ung! How have you been?" Seojun asked smiling. "Good but I can definitely be better." He said as he came and stood right next to him.
"So? Are you going to man up now hyung?" The sudden question faltered Seojun's smile. He looked away not wanting to face those expectant eyes. "You know I can't. When will you stop asking me this?" His voice held guilt and vulnerability at the same time.
Ji-ung on the other hand scoffed hearing his answer. "Aren't you tired hyung? Aren't you tired of this vicious circle of lies and death around you? Is it not suffocating hyung? Are you happy living such a life?"
"I have a family to protest Ji-ung. It's not easy to be courageous when your loved ones are at a constant threat every hour of the day. I can't be a hero." Seojun's voice was heavy with his overwhelming emotions. His beliefs and actions were at a constant war with each other. But at the end his helplessness always won. Each and every day he was killing his conscience just to protect his family and according to him he was not wrong. But was he right? That he didn't know himself.
"Ji-ung I can't help you. Please understand that." Seojun pleaded looking right into the other's eyes. "Taehyung is pregnant. He needs this now more than ever hyung. Please help me to get the proof of his innocence and then I'll never ask you for any other help."
Ji-ung was trying his very best to persuade Seojun but the other was adamant. "I'm sorry." Saying this he walked away from that place leaving behind a dejected Ji-ung.
Sighing in disappointment he looked away and focused on the setting sun instead. It was such a beautiful view. So calm and colourful. It always made him forget his worries. A setting sun was his most favourite view because it held a special meaning for him. It was something that reminded him of her.
Flashback
"Mr. Why do you always stand here at this time of the day?" A cheerful voice startled Ji-ung who was casually leaning against his car. His face scrunched up in confusion as he turned his head to face the girl standing near him with a naughty smirk on her face.
"And why should that bother you Miss?" He looked at her questioningly. "Just curious. Now tell me." She smiled looking at him with her big doe eyes and who was Ji-ung to deny them. "I'm here for my brother. He is studying in this university."
"He's twenty one for god's sake. You don't have to baby him like that." Her voice was teasing and she was most obviously judging him. "Sorry? See miss me picking up by brother shouldn't concern you. And why are you even asking this question?"
"For security purpose of course." She answered back loudly startling Ji-ung. He gestured her to calm down while trying his very best to stop himself from laughing at her expressions. "Well....actually I'm from the university and I have to make sure that the parking lot is free of stalkers and other nuisance. That's the only reason I questioned you."
She was using all sorts of hand gestures to explain the situation and it was too amusing for the boy. "Kim Ji-ung. I'm Kim Taehyung's guardian. You can confirm it from the records in the uni." He said smiling and the girl finally stopped her rambling. "That I will mister Kim." She said with a big smile and looked right into his eyes.
"Hyung. I'm here." Taehyung's voice brought both of them out of that stare and they looked away flustered. "Noona? Why are you here again? I told you I can come home myself. Didn't I?" Jungkook who was standing beside Taehyung asked the girl with an annoyed tone.
"Noona?" Ji-ung looked at her with confusion and saw her smiling sheepishly at that. "I'm Jeon Haewon by the way. It was nice meeting you and I hope we can meet again." Saying this she quickly turned around and ran away leaving behind two confused and one amused boy.
Ji-ung kept on looking at her retreating back with a small smile on his face. She was an interesting person and he wanted to meet her again.
The boy smiled at the sudden memory of his first encounter with her. She was the only one who had made his heart beat wildly at the first sight. It was the first time he had to try his very best to keep his composure. It was the first time he had felt giddy all over. There was something different about those eyes. Something beautiful and mesmerising that had pulled him in without much effort.
He won't deny it. Maybe he had fallen in love with the girl. Or maybe it was just attraction? He himself was not sure about it. The feeling inside him was totally new and different. It had made him feel so many things at once. He had never felt something like that for anyone and wouldn't like to feel the same again. Not because it was bad instead it was the most special feeling and this was why he wanted it to remain exclusive for that special person.
He believed that his and her's would have been a beautiful story but sadly it never even started.
