It was already morning when they finally arrived at the Jeon mansion. The snow had beautifully covered the trees, roads and rooftops. It was mesmerising all over and Jungkook ran inside with a new zeal. He was determined to make his lover experience all his love. He had decided to make it the best Christmas for Taehyung.
He opened the door and smiled when his eyes landed on the sleeping figure of his husband. Only if he knew! He took quick strides towards the bed and sat down next to the male. "Why didn't you tell me? I don't need a proof to believe you Tae." He said and caressed Taehyung's hair. His hand moved towards the other's cheek but a frown replaced his smile as soon as he made contact with the skin.
Taehyung was ice cold. Too cold for Jungkook's liking. A sudden dread settled inside the pit of the ravenette's stomach. He shook Taehyung but the other didn't show any motion. "Tae? Love?" He called out but nothing happened. "TAEHYUNG!" He shouted when the weight of the situation starting weighing him down. This was not supposed to happen.
He pulled the cold boy in his arms and ushered him to wake up but nothing worked. He tried and tried but Taehyung had already left him forever.
That memory was like an open wound on Jungkook's heart. It was still fresh. He gulped the lump in his throat and looked outside the window. He had more important things to do. He had to be strong just like his Taehyung. His car was on it's way to his destination. The Kim Corporation.
The plan had been made. It was not difficult to execute neither was it too dynamic. It was simply a plan to expose the true colours of the so called respected businessman. As soon as Jungkook and the others arrived at the destination they put up their cold facade. They couldn't let Han-Gyoel have the satisfaction of seeing their broken selves.
With confident strides he walked inside and then pushed open the door to the CEO's cabin. Soon enough he was greeted with a glare from his enemy. "What are you doing here Jeon?" He said looking at him.
"Taehyung is dead." Jungkook spoke out coldly. Han-Gyoel's eyes widened. "What are you saying? Don't lie to me Jeon? Where is my son?" Han-Gyoel stood up from his seat. He looked surprised. "I'm not lying Kim. His funeral was held on Christmas." Jungkook said looking at the old man with a blank face.
"YOU BASTARD. YOU KILLED MY SON." Han-Gyoel shouted and started walking towards Jungkook in anger. He had taken just a few steps when he haulted. The video Jungkook played on his phone was enough to make him realise that his act was futile. He smirked as the recording ending.
Jungkook clenched his fists when the sudden sound of the man's evil laughter resonated through the entire room. "Took you long enough to know the truth Jungkook." Han-Gyoel mocked him. He was enjoying it a little too much.
"Yes. I killed him Jeon. I killed your dear husband. He had dared to go against me. He was about to take this company away from me. How could I have left him alive? I had killed his mother for the same reason. No one can take this company from me. My power and money will stay with me." He looked like a psychopath. A mad man who valued no one in his life. A criminal.
"There is nothing more bigger than power and money in this world Jeon. My most priced possession. You can't do anything now. No one will believe you. No one." Han-Gyoel said with a look of victory on his face. The silence of the people in his cabin was giving him a sense of satisfaction. He had already assumed his win.
"No one might believe me Han-Gyoel." Jungkook said breaking his silence. "But they are definitely going to believe you. You confessed everything from your own mouth." With this he gestured towards Ji-ung, who in return scoffed looking at Kim's bewildered face. The boy slowly placed his hand on the front pocket of his shirt. His phone camera peeking out of it. "You're being telecasted live on the news channels right now. Uncle." Each word Ji-ung spoke dripped with hatred.
This was their plan. They had to pay the news channels a hefty amount of sum to help them but it was nothing in front of Taehyung. Jungkook was even ready to sacrifice his life for his love.
Breathing in and out with anger he walked towards the stunned man. Lifting his hand he punched him hard across his face. Then he held him by his collars and jerked him roughly. "I would have killed you right here Han-Gyoel but that would be an easy way out for you. I'm not going to let that happen. I will let you live but without your money, power and image. I'll make sure that you rot in the prison for your entire life. That will be your biggest punishment." Jungkook pushed the man away from him and soon some police officers entered inside.
"Kim Han-Gyoel you're under arrest." Hearing those words Han-Gyoel shook his head. " No! This can't happen. I can't lose like this. NO!" But his words were ignored as he was pushed outside by the officers. Jungkook sighed as soon as the monster was taken away. He let his tears fall now.
"Namjoon and Yoongi hyung please take care of the legal procedures. I might kill that bastard if I see him again." He spoke without looking at them. He didn't want to let them see his tears again. "We're on it Kook and we're proud of you for controlling your anger." Namjoon assured him and soon they left.
Sniffling Jungkook turned around only to find Ji-ung standing behind him. "You were great today. Doing the right thing is difficult sometimes but trust me Jungkook, Taehyung will be very proud of you today." Ji-ung had a small smile on his face. He slowly gestured the ravenette to wait and then took out an envelope from the bag he was holding.
"Tae left this for you."
