"Tae now tell me what's wrong?" Haewon asked as the two strolled around in the park. "Nothing." He tried to smile but couldn't. He had been extremely stressed lately and it was all the courtesy of his wonderful father.
"You have been so quiet these days. You're always lost in your thoughts. You fainted a few days ago because you have been skipping meals. This is not normal. Everyone's worried sick for you Tae. Especially Jungkook. So tell me what's wrong. Maybe I can help." Her voice was so soft and caring that Taehyung had to try his very best to not break down infront of her.
"I'm fine noona. There's nothing to worry about. I'm just stressed with the uni and all. That's it." Taehyung tried to explain but his wavering voice was enough for Haewon to know that he was lying.
"Taehyung listen to me carefully. There are times when we are in deep sh*t and we don't tell about it to anyone because we don't want to drag them in it as well. Facing it alone feels like the most appropriate option but it's not. You should tell your loved ones about the problems you're facing. Even if they won't help much they would at least have your back. Having them there for you is always comforting Tae. So think about it and tell someone about your problems. It can be anyone you want. Just don't suffocate yourself like this." She patted the younger's back who was looking at her with his glassy eyes.
Taehyung knew that the girl was right. He had to tell about his worries to someone but it was easier said then done. His father had created an image in the society. He was a loving father and a heartbroken husband in front of others. While in reality he was nothing like that. Taehyung had no idea whether the others were going to believe him or not but he just couldn't keep it inside him anymore.
"My father has been forcing me noona." He finally burst out. Haewon furrowed her eyebrows not able to comprehend the boy's words. "You know about the Kim mafia?" he asked and received a nod in return. "My father is the leader. He is not what he seems to be. He has been controlling me since a long time and now he is forcing me to leave Jungkook and my friends. I don't know why noona but I don't want to lose you all."
Haewon immediately embraced him in a warm hug. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine now Tae. He'll not be able to control you anymore. Hmm." She gently patted Taehyung's back trying her very best to soothe him. Suddenly the younger's phone started ringing startling the two.
The caller ID was unknown and it suddenly made the boy really uneasy. He picked up the call and gulped in nervousness. He was about to say something but the person on the other side beat him to it.
"Didn't I say that I have an eye on your every move son. I told you to keep your mouth shut. Didn't I? Now see the consequences of your disobedience." The call ended and then a deafening sound resonated through the night sky.
Taehyung's heart dropped to his stomach. Panic started to overtake his senses. He turned around and as soon as his eyes landed on Haewon's bloody shirt he completely lost it. His breathing got ragged and he fell onto his knees. With his blurry vision he somehow tried to find the phone that had slipped out of his hand but nothing seemed to work.
After a lot of struggle he somehow called for help. Haewon had already lost consciousness till then and he could do nothing but wish for her to be alright.

The entire family was waiting anxiously outside the operation theatre. Nobody knew what had happened or why was the girl shot and Taehyung didn't even have the courage to tell them about it anymore. He didn't want to put someone else in danger. So he kept shut and luckily no one asked him a thing.
Six hours later the doctor came out and stood in front of the family with a look on his face that shook everyone inside out. Sighing heavily he said "I'm sorry Mr. Jeon but we couldn't save your daughter. The wound was not that deep but she lost a lot of blood till she got here. We could have done something if she was brought in earlier. Her body couldn't take the stress. I'm sorry."
Hearing these words Taehyung's soul left his body. He fell onto the ground with a loud thud. His face was devoid of any emotion but inside he was a wreck. He didn't hear a single thing after that. He didn't know how was the family reacting to the news. He knew nothing.
The only thing he knew was that he was somehow responsible for her death. She died because of him.
That day was still engraved in his mind like a fresh memory. He looked at his reflection in the mirror and saw a broken soul looking right back at him. He had just gotten out of the cold shower not wanting to harm the innocent life inside him.
Wiping his eyes one last time he got out of the bathroom only to be greeted by the ravenette who stood just a few steps away. He had an unknown emotion in his eyes this time but Taehyung didn't have the courage to look into them for long.
"Taehyung." Jungkook's soothing voice forced him to look at the other. "You betrayed us and played with our feelings. You broke my heart and I can never forgive you for that." Jungkook's voice was stern and Taehyung felt like crying all over again.
"You did a lot of bad things to us but I still want you to know that it was not your mistake. Haewon did not die because of you. I don't know why but I believe that you would never do something like that." Saying this the ravenette left the room immediately.
Taehyung kept on looking at the now empty doorway. His tears knew no bound. But this time the tears held joy in them. Joy that Jungkook still trusted him. Joy that there was still some spark in their relationship.
A spark that could help him to gain his husband's trust completely again.
