"Kook stop it now. You have to eat and sleep to think through everything. How will you stay healthy if you bury yourself in your files like this?" Taehyung said as he entered inside his husband's study/office. Jungkook looked up from his file and smiled when his eyes landed on Taehyung who was also carrying his son in his arms.
The ravenette gave him a tired nod. "I'll be done in a few minutes. Just making sure that every file is authentic and has the right stats. With these files no one can prove our company guilty of false charges." He said and stretched his arms. "When is the hearing?" Taehyung asked as he came towards the ravenette. "Tomorrow noon. I'll give these files to Jackson because sadly I can't go to the court as the CEO. But you know Tae once we are out of this problem I'll take over the company officially and I'll also get rid of all the mafia sh*t. I just want a happy and peaceful life with you."Saying this Jungkook extended his arms forward and took Haneul in his own embrace. Smiling fondly he kissed the baby's forehead and took his little hands in his big tattooed one. Being with his husband and little one was enough to wash away the tiredness from the entire day. Taehyung and Haneul gave him a strange peace that made him hopeful and optimistic even in a problem like this. "I love you both so much." He looked up and stared into his husband's eyes with nothing but love.
Taehyung smiled back at him. The adoration in his eyes twinkling at it's highest. "Kook since you've taken such a big decision even I want want to say something." He said and took a seat next to the ravenette. "What is it?" Jungkook asked putting a strand of hair behind Taehyung's ear.
"It's about the past. I want to tell......." But before he could say more Jungkook cut him off. "Tae forget it. I don't want to talk about it. The past makes me angry and sad. Please let it go. I don't care about it anymore and I don't want to think about it. So please forget it. For me." He caressed Taehyung's cheek who looked a little down. "Everything is okay between us so don't bring a bad memory up. Hmm." Jungkook said smiling. Hope gleaming in his eyes.
Taehyung sighed and nodded. He had been thinking about telling the truth to Jungkook. He didn't know whether his husband would believe him or not but he really wanted to start this new phase in his life with no misunderstandings from the past. Seojun had not helped him in getting a proof against his father but with the growing trust between him and Jungkook he had gained some confidence. Today it felt like the right time to tell him about the past but Jungkook didn't want to hear it and for Taehyung nothing else mattered other than the ravenette's happiness.
I'll tell him about it some other day. He thought to himself and pushed that urge away. Instead he busied himself in staring at his little family. "Kook. Let's go to the room. You can check the files there and after that we'll cuddle." Taehyung said as he got up and gathered the files from the table. The ravenette nodded and stood gently with the baby in his arms. Both the males smiled at each other and then walked out of the room hand in hand.
"Seojun hyung you are early today. It's just seven in the morning." Taehyung asked the male who was standing near the door to his room. "It is the only time I'm free Tae. I'll be busy with Mr. Kim throughout the day so I thought that I should help you a little before going to work." Seojun said as he came inside and sat next to Taehyung.
The petite male gave him a smile of gratitude and quickly stood up. Walking towards a cabinet he took out the files from one of the drawers and brought them to Seojun. "Hyung will this be enough to free them from the charges?" He asked. Seojun took the files from him and started going through the pages. He kept nodding and approving of the stats on the files. It took him about half an hour to go through the documents and when he was done he looked at Taehyung with approval.
"Tae these are enough to prove them innocent. The problem will be solved today and then tomorrow you can celebrate Christmas without any worry." Seojun said smiling. "Thank you so much hyung. I know it's difficult for you to help me out and despite that you took such a big risk. I appreciate it a lot." Each word Taehyung said was dripping with gratitude.
"Don't tell anyone about it. I don't want to be on anybody's radar. And if you don't mind can you please get me some water." Seojun then loosened the tie her was wearing a little. "I won't tell anyone hyung. Dont worry and I'll be right back." Saying this the boy quickly ran out of the room.
He went to the kitchen and got back with a glass of water in his hand. He handed it to Seojun who was sweating alot. It seemed as if the older was suffocating in there. "Hyung are you feeling alright?" He asked in concern. The other just nodded and stood up. "I'll leave now. Take care." With this he quickly walked out of the room followed by Taehyung who dropped him off till the main door.
Once the man had left Taehyung quickly ran back to his room just in time to see Jungkook handing over the files to Jackson. He politely greeted the other and walked towards his husband thereafter. "Are you done with the discussion?" He asked.
The ravenette nodded in assurance. "Me, Jackson and the hyungs have discussed everything. Now we're going to the company and I'll be back by the evening. Wait for me." Jungkook spoke and received a beautiful boxy smile in return. Then Taehyung walked his husband to the gate and wished him luck. They both parted with smiley faces and contended hearts but.....
They were unaware of the thorns that were just a step away from making them bleed.
