Revenge. A word that can blindfold people and prevent them from seeing the light around them. It can destroy lives and love. It's not meant to be kept in the heart but sometimes it just stays there.

Jungkook shook back and forth, the ravaging emotions wrecking his soul with their wrath. He felt a weird kind of suffocation as he tried to comprehend the gravity of everything that had happened to him and his lover.
The lies, the manipulation, the fear of being betrayed and the lack of communication had brought him to a point in his life where he had no answers to any of his problems.
Tears had become a permanent partner while he tried his best to erase the consequences of his actions.
"S....see I'm back l...love. I w....won't leave you alone a...again. I promise." He begged with everything inside him but got no response in return. He waited but nothing happened. He was already too late. Sometimes your spontaneous actions cost you a lot and Jungkook was paying the same price.
Life is fickle. It's there one moment and it might not be in the next. This beautiful life should not be wasted with feelings of anger and hatred. These hateful feelings do nothing but cause remorse in the end. Jungkook was feeling the same. If only he had kept those feelings of hatred and revenge aside. If only he had asked Taehyung about his problems once nothing could have gone wrong. But these realisations were of no use now. His lover seemed to have given up on them.
"Hyunsik do something. He....he is not able to open his eyes. P...please." Jungkook cried in desperation. He didn't want to accept the reality. The doctor didn't say a word. He kept on looking towards the floor. No one was able to look into the broken ravenette's eyes. They all were numb. Some crying while some waiting outside with blank faces.
This was not how they imagined their Christmas to be. This was not what they had wished for. Were they too cruel? Was this their punishment for taking Taehyung for granted? Was it their punishment for never thinking about him?
"TAE!" Jungkook called out in agony. "This is not fare. You can't do this to me. Y....You can't do this. Get up. Please. I..I'll do anything for you. Just get up. GET UP!" He held onto his husband's hand firmly, asking the other to open his eyes but nothing happened. The baby in Han-na's arms started crying too. It was as if he had sensed his father's pain. This was the last straw. Haneul's painful cries ripped their hearts away.
"Hyunsik I beg you to do something." Jungkook cried again. "Mr. Jeon I am sorry but nothing is in my hands now. Your husband is in a coma. His heart had fucking stopped beating. We revived him with utter luck and now it is upto him and god." Hyunsik shouted. He wished for his leader to come back to his senses. It was painful to accept but it was the reality. Nothing could be changed now. Fate had already played it's cruel game.
"You don't know anything." Jungkook whispered. He knew that Hyunsik was right. Taehyung was in a very critical condition. It had been two days since they brought him to the hospital. They had lost him before and now he was right there in front of his eyes, lying sound asleep with almost no hopes of ever getting up again. "Tae? You wanted me to sing a song for you this Christmas. I'll sing it. Then you'll wake up. Right?" He diverted all this attention to the boy before him.
"Tell me which song do you want to hear. Tell me love. I'll sing all your favourite songs. Or do you want me to do something else for you." He begged with each and every fibre inside him. He didn't care about the others in the room. All he cared about was his husband who was lying amidst the wires and tubes. He wanted to fulfil every of his requests.
"Wake up. Wake up please. I promise I'll never leave you again. I swear on my life. I'll cook your favourite dishes everyday. I'll stay with you every single sec.....second of my life so please get up. Don't punish me like this. Please T...Tae. I'm ready to beg for y...your forgiveness for the rest of my life but not this. Please. P... Please......."
With each word his voice became faint. His words stopped as heart wrenching cries replaced them. He pulled Taehyung's hand closer to himself and cried. He shouted, sniffled and hiccuped but nothing changed. It took him a lot of time to control his emotions.
Once he had somewhat calmed down he placed a chaste kiss on Taehyung's temple and got up from the floor. He gently walked towards Han-na. "Mom give him to me." He said and took a crying Haneul in his own embrace. Then turning around he walked towards his husband and placed the baby on his chest.
Miraculously the cries stopped. The baby recognized his Appa immediately. But sadly a scene that was suppose to warm their hearts was ripping it instead. The innocent baby might not get the chance to ever see his other parent again. The unsurety of it all was horrifying. He was not even involved in all this mess but had to face the repercussions.
"Please leave me alone everyone." Jungkook requested looking at the others present there. "Kook. He....he.." Han-na tried to speak but couldn't. His son looked lost and this was breaking her even more.
"I know mom. You all can go and rest. I just want to be with him alone. Me, Tae and Haneul. I just.....just.....want..... " Jungkook looked into his mother's eyes with utmost desperation. Looking at his tear the lady nodded vigorously, leaving the room hastily.
Once alone, Jungkook locked the door. He slowly walked towards the bed where his husband was sleeping peacefully with a small human lying on top of him. He sat down next to Taehyung and caressed his hair.
"I never deserved you. This world never deserved you." The ravenette whispered and then laid his head down beside his lover. He engulfed him in his buff arms and closed his eyes. The tears not ceasing.
Taking in a deep breath he placed a kiss on Taehyung's forehead.
A cherished one. A kiss filled with apologizies and promisies.
A promise that might never get the chance to live.
