Black Eyed Beauty

Part 8

(⚠Warning⚠: This one is gonna end up kinda angsty.)

It was a few weeks since the arcade incident, Liz was washing the bite on her hand, Alex was helping and Edd and Tom were having a cute couple moment. Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. "Hey, Tom, can you go answer that please?" Edd asks. Tom nods then gets up and goes to the door to find a familiar face and a couple not so familiar ones. 

"Why the HELL are you here, Commie?" He asks, ready to slam the door in Tord's face. "Hello, Thomas. I'm just here to find something that's gone missing and I need it back." The Norski says with a stoic expression on his face. "You aren't getting her back. She doesn't deserve to be treated like shit." Tom replies, "Oh come on. I only need her for my army and nothing else. You wouldn't mind helping out an old friend, right?" Tord says, "Actually, I would mind." Tom says before slamming the door in Tord's face. 

Alex walks in with Liz behind her, "Dad, who was that?" She asks. Tom replies, "Just some asshole." "Really? I wasn't eavesdropping or anything but im pretty sure you know the guy." Liz says while gently drying her hand. Alex goes and peeks out the window then quickly ducks back down, "Oh no. Red found me! This was a horrible idea, I shouldn't have left! Nonononono!" She starts to panic. "Hey, calm down, I'll think of something." Liz tells her, "I'll distract him, you hide, okay?" Alex nods then runs to the bedroom. 

Liz opens the door, "Ah, Demonspawn, what brings you here?" "I was just looking for you and your little friend." He replies. "Little friend? Oh yeah, sorry but she's not here." Liz says, and Tord glares, "I know your lying. Where is she?" Liz shrugs, "Maybe I'm lying, maybe I'm not. You cant do anything about it, Shortstack." Patryk starts to grow worried, "It seems she's telling the truth sir. Maybe we should leave them be." Tord starts to get angrier by the second, "No. We are not leaving without her. We'll search this entire house and you can't do anything to stop us." "Actually there is." Liz says, her hand inching towards her gun holster, Edd gets up, his eyes having a faint green glow, "How about you listen to us and get the hell outta here? There is no way I'm letting you or your lackeys go anywhere near my daughter. Now LEAVE, BASTARD." He says.

Liz then shoves Tord out onto the lawn, going out with him. She shouts, "Edd, shut the door quick!" Edd slams and locks the door and leans his back up against it. "Should i go get Alex?" Tom asks, Edd nods then Tom goes over to the room she went in, he knocks, "Alex? It's me, don't freak out." Soon the door opens up. Alex stood there, shaking, her small monster horns poking out. She hugs her father tightly, "I thought they were gonna take me." She whispers. Tom hugs her back, "We would never let them." Edd hugs them both, "They aren't coming in anytime soon." he says and Tom nods

Then there was loud banging on the door, which made Alex jolt, Liz yells from outside, "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE DOOR!" Tom mutters, "What the hell?" Suddenly, Tord kicks the door open. "Shit." Tom says, his eyes glowing. Alex clings to Edd, her horns and tail starting to grow, Edd pats her head whispering comforting things in her ear to try and calm her down. Liz yells again from outside, "LET ME GO!" Tom looks at his husband and daughter then back at Tord.  'Do I go after him or do I stay?' He thought, Edd seemed to know what he was thinking and he said, "I'll keep her safe, you go kick Tord's ass." Tom nods then runs off, going into his monster form as he does so. Edd takes Alex into the bedroom once again and locks himself and her in there. 

"Get over her, Commie asshole!" Tom says, looking for Tord. "Where is she?!" Tord shouts.     "You can't fucking have her!" Tom shouts back, "Fine! If I cant have her, I'll just take back her little escape buddy instead!" Tord says. "Fine! Take me, just leave them alone!" Liz says. Tom looks at Tord. 'They'll leave us alone...but they seemed so close...' He thinks. "Let's go." Tord says, motioning for Paul, Pat and Liz to follow. Liz walks right out after him, the other two right behind her. Tom shuts and locks the door behind them and Alex and Edd soon come out of the bedroom, Alex still shaking like a little leaf. "Did..did they leave?" She asks. Edd nods. "Where's Liz?" She asks again, "She...she went with them...." Tom says. 

At that moment, Alex's heart had shattered. Liz was her best friend, Liz was the one who brought her here, Liz was the one she always went to talk to, She was the only one who understood her.... And she had just left her. Alex drops onto the ground, failing to hold back her tears, "No....no no no.... Why? Why did she have to go....?" Tom sits down beside her, "She left so they couldn't take you. She did it so they could leave us alone." Alex wipes her eyes, "Oh...." was all she could really say. Tom hugs her, "I'm sorry..." Alex whispers. "Why?" Tom asks, "I lead them here. They were after me. It's my fault. Because of me, my best friend is gone... You could've gotten hurt..." She says, her voice cracking. Tom hugs her tighter, "You have no reason to worry about that, now, none of this is your fault, you did not cause this, Tord did." He says to her. "O-okay..." Alex says.
