"So, this is where you spend your lunch hour at? The library?" He raised his eyebrows at me. He had followed me all the way to my secret lunch spot which wasn't so secret anymore.

"Why are you even here? Will you please stop following me?" I grunted at him, annoyed that he had discovered my whereabout.

"I don't have anyone to eat with." His face saddened but it wasn't convincing enough to let me agree to his proposal.

"So?" I scrunched my eyebrows, waiting for a reply.

"Will you eat with me then?" He asked, hope slightly visible in his eyes.

I simply laughed at him before choking out an answer. "No."

"Oh, come on!" He pleaded and kneeled in front of me.

"I said 'no', Dylan." I said in a strict tone and his eyes widened at my sudden reply.

"You said my name." He looked at the ground as if not believing what was happening.

"Holy shit, you actually said my name!" He cried in joy and jumped like a ten year old kid.

He fist pumped in the air while muttering different and incomprehensible coherent words and phrases.

I looked at him as if he was a lunatic.

"Whatever." I muttered and plopped on one of the couches. I started pulling out a book.

The Battle of the Labyrinth from the Percy Jackson and The Olympians series.

"Woah, you read Percy Jackson? That series is sick! Have you read the previous books?" He asked with such fascination.

"Duh." I managed to answer him.

"When you finish that book, I suggest you to prepare for The Last Olympian. Many people are going to die th-" Before he could finish, I cut him off by covering his mouth and basically strangling him to death.

"Jane! Ouch... I'm so sor... Ouch. I'm sorry!" Dylan whimpered.

"Don't mess with me with spoilers ever again." I sneered at him while emphasizing the phrase 'ever again'.

"Okay, fine. You're no fun at all." He pouted and rolled my eyes at his awful attempt to look cute.

"I don't care." I answered. And on that day, no fucks were given.

"Hey did you know tha-"

"Will you please just shut up? I'm trying to read a book here if you're too blind to notice. Look, I don't give a damn if you have finished the series already. Just let me read in peace." I replied angrily without pausing to breathe.

"Oh okay. I'm sorry, Jane." He looked down at the ground.

I sighed. "It's alright." I added hesitantly.

He looked at me for five seconds straight. His smile was so big, I actually thought that his teeth were gonna fall off any minute now.

"Does that mean we're friends now?" He asked, hopeful.

"No." I simply replied.

Both of us sat there in comfortable silence. I was too busy reading the book and he was too busy doing God knows what. I would casually sneak glances at him when he was looking at another direction.
