you're probably wondering why Jane was so friendly to Brandy and Tyler while to Dylan, it was the exact opposite. Well, y'all know that Dylan is a transferee right? That explains his naivety to the whole situation.
He knows absolutely nothing about Jane's past. Jane just wanted to clear him from her life since she's so broken and fragile. Yes, she wanted to be friends with Dylan.
BUT!
Her life always got in the way. She was too insecure for a friendship with someone as new as him.
In terms of Brandy and Tyler, they both knew about Jane's past and experiences. It was quite a shocker for Jane actually. As she had mentioned, Tyler and Brandy were a few of the decent jocks in Newton High so it kind of makes sense.
A portion of it is still weird right?
