"I'll have three slices of pepperoni pizza, three cartons of chocolate milk, a chicken wrap, and some nutella rolls." I said to the cafeteria lady without pausing to think.

She stared at me as if I was joking.

"Please tell me you're joking." She said.

I replied. "I wasn't, unfortunately."

"Teenagers and their appetites these days." The cafeteria lady muttered while getting the food.

"Are you sure you're a girl?" He asked while staring weirdly at me. People always asked me the exact question.

If Gary counts as 'people'.

"Positive." I reassuringly smiled at him.

"HIV positive?" He asked while smirking and I slapped his back playfully.

"What? It could've been true."

My mouth opened widely at his comeback. "Are you seriously accusing me of having HIV?"

"I was kidding. Geez. Take a joke, Wiggins." He chuckled and winked at me.

"What do we have here? A new boyfriend, Jane?" A familiar voice spoke.

"He's my friend but it's none of your business, Spencer." I glared at him with confusion slightly obvious in my voice.

"Woah, you actually have friends?" He joked, laughing in a bitter way. Tears started to form in my eyes before I could stop them.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Spence? Why are you being like this?" I questioned.

"If you had accepted my apology earlier, I would've been a lot nicer to you." He snorted.

"If you didn't do the dare in the first place, I would've accepted your apology earlier."

He frowned, acting as if lightning had struck him. "Shit. I'm so sorry, Jane. I don't know what happened to me. I just-"

"Don't." I gave him a look of warning. "Don't you dare finish that sentence, Spencer. I actually thought we were okay. I haven't forgiven you yet but do you honestly think it would be that fast?"

"It's been two years, Jane! That's a lot of time. I did everything for you to accept my apology. I baked a pizza cake for your birthday. I took lame art classes to impress you with a painting of yourself. I gave you my mother's ancient butterfly necklace." He cried and most of the students inside the cafeteria were looking at us, engrossed in our sudden argument.

I simply looked at him without uttering a single word. I was too frantic to speak up. He was crying so much that his eyes were barely recognizable. He kneeled and screamed in frustration.

"Two years, Jane. Two fucking years for you to accept my apology. And it took you one day to be friends with this random guy!" He pointed to Dylan.

"Spencer, don't blame Dylan for your foolishness. This is between you and I." I defended.

"The creature has a name. How marvelous." He snorted. "No, it's all about him! He took you away from me. It's probably the reason why you won't accept my apology. It's probably because you already have someone by your side. You seem like you don't need me anymore." He cried once more.

Tears were sprawling from my eyes and we both looked like a couple on our way to filing a divorce.

"This is all about you whether you learn to accept it or not. You did this to yourself. You did this to me." I screamed back at him.
