Finally Friday

Emma's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. Another day of school. Ugh. I took a bath and wore my ripped skinny jeans with my tee shirt. This tee shirt was my favourite, it has a union jack logo on it. It's almost sleeveless.

I took my bag and wore my converse. I ran to the first floor. Mom gave me some cereal and sat in front of me, staring at me weirdly and deeply. She wants me to say something about the surprise party.

" Okay okay, I'll tell you. Just stop staring at me like that. " I gave up. Mom laughed and took another bowl of cereal for August.

" I loved the surprise party. " I ate my cereal.

A few seconds later, August ran down.

" So, how do you like the surprise party we set up ? " August ask as he sat beside me and started eating.

" I love it. And thanks for not staring at me to find the answer. " I smirked.

" Why would I do that ? " he asked with a mouth full of cereal.

" Well, maybe not you but mom did. " I laughed. August almost spat out the cereal from his mouth. Mom and I laughed together.

August took me to school. The whole ride was filled with August being his silly self.

As soon as I set foot in the school, Ella and Belle came to me.

" Hey, so did you like the surpise party ? " Ella asked. I nodded and Belle started to cheer.

" Are you okay ? " Ella asked me as she saw Austin pass by.

" Yeah, I'm fine. " I smiled sadly. Luckily, they didn't realise the smile.

I scanned the crowd and found Austin. He caught me looking at him and I faced my locker. I took my book and walked quickly to my class. I sat on my usual seat which is in front of Austin's desk.

" Hey, we need to talk. I can explain everything. " he tapped my shoulder.

" You don't have to waste your time Austin. " Killian said beside us.

" This is none of your business. Now shut up and get out of the way. " Austin said in gritted teeth.

" You kissed Anita. That explained a lot and it's enough, you don't have to explain anymore. " Killian said and it caught Austin off guard and he was taken aback by those words.

The teacher walked in and we each went to our own partners. I putted Killian's sleeve a little before he walked away.

" Hey, thanks. " I smiled at him.

" No problem. Glad I could help, I just want you to be safe. " he smilrd and walked towards Ruby's desk. Graham came while staring at Killian.

" What happened here ? " he whispered as he sat beside me.

" Killian helped me get Austin away from me. " I said in disbelief.

" Maybe he's trying to be a close friends with you OR he's trying to flirt with you. " Graham smirked. I hit him in the arm.

" Stop joking around. " I said and we did our project. I thought about what Graham said.

Is he trying to be nice to me ? Why ? Everybody can change if they want to. Is he trying to flirt with me ? If so, should I give him a chance ?

Class ended and we packed our stuff. Killian smirked at me and left.

Is it true ? Is he trying to flirt with me ? Maybe I should get to know him better.

" Ruby ! " I catched up to her as she left.

" Hey. You're Emma right ? " she pointed at me with a confused face. I nodded.

" What do you want ? " she said softly. She seems familiar and she seems like a sweet and kind girl.

" Do you know much about Killian ? "

" Yeah. " she nodded.

" I want to get to know him better. Can you help me ? "

" Sure. " Ruby smiled.

Is there something about Ruby that makes Emma think she looks familiar ? It'll be in the next chapter !
