Emma's POV

I opened the letter and it says, we'll be back soon, we're going to the hospital to check on the baby.

I sighed and walked back up as I heard footsteps going down the stairs. I knew it was August. Then I heard footsteps again, this time going up and opened my door without knocking. I looked at August confused.

" Where's mom and dad ? " he asked as he sat on the edge of my bed.

" They've gone to the hospital. " I said as I laid down and took my book The Fault In Our Stars and read it.

" You're still reading that thing ? " he said pointing to my book.

" Yes, I haven't read it done since I don't have time, Mr. August " I teased him.

" Hey, stop calling me using Mr " he said as he emphasized the word Mr. He tickled me. I'm really ticklish so I fell to the floor. He looked at me as I heard the doorbell rang, we ran downstairs and race each other to get to the door assuming it was mom and dad already back.

I reached the door first so I get to open it, I opened it and saw a very familiar face wearing a jacket, a hat and a sunglasses covering his eyes.

" Can I come in ? " he asked. As soon as I heard the voice, I knew it was Austin. I nodded to his question and closed the door. I saw August ran up to his room, it's either he's shy or he forgot something. I sat beside Austin on the couch.

" What brings you here ? " I asked.

Austin's POV ( before he came to Emma's house )

I woke up to the sound of my friends downstairs screaming at each other. I get out of bed and ran downstairs to see what they're doing but they're just running around. I laughed at them and they heard me.

" Ohh, so Emma's boyfriend has woken up ! " Alex said teasing me.

" I'm not her boyfriend. " I said as I pretended to get angry. Alex quickly raised up his hand saying that he has given up. We all laughed at him. They started running around again and I sat on the couch watching TV as I ate some cereal.

" Hey, what are you thinking about ? " Zach asked me when he saw me staring at the ceiling for no reason.

" Emma. I can't seem to get her out of my mind ! What's wrong with me ! " I shouted.

" Maybe it's because you're in love. " Robert said from behind me.

" In loveee " Alex repeated with his eyebrows going up and down.

" What should I do ? I can't be in love. " I said, still not admitting it.

" Are you serious ? Just admit it already, we're tired of your acting. " Robert said pushing me.

" Ok ok, I admit ! Are you happy now ? "

" Not yet. " Alex said smirking. Oh, I know what this means.

" What do you want me to do ? " I said as I sighed knowing what he'll say.

" I want you to go to Emma's house and ask her out on a date ! " Alex said smiling happily. I agreed to it and ran to wear my sunglasses, jacket and a hat to cover up my face as I saw people around our neighbourhood walking around.

I rang Emma's doorbell and heard footsteps running down and a tumble. I guess Emma and August must be racing to the door. She opened the door and let me in. I sat on the couch as she sat beside me.

" What brings you here ? " she asked.

" Would you, uh, would you- " I stuttered at every word I said. She chuckled and asked the same question again. I gather up all my guts and said it without stuttering.

" Would you like to go on a date with me ? " I said while closing my eyes. I opened my eyes and saw Emma with her eyes widened and her mouth hanging open. Soon she realised and smiled at me. She started to open her mouth to speak as she said.....
