Emma's POV

" Sure you can. You can stay until August is discharged. Make sure you take good care of him. " mom smiled and I nodded happily.

I went back to the room to see August sleeping. I sat on the couch and took out my phone to see messages from Belle, Ella and an unknown number.

Hey, are you staying in the hospital tomorrow ?-B

Yep, my mom said I could stay until August is discharged. Are you coming tomorrow ?-Em

Yeah I am. Lets meet in the canteen alright ?-B

Okay, see you tomorrow then.-Em

I closed Belle's message room and opened Ella's

Where were you ? I was lonely at school, Belle didn't come either. :( -El

I was in the hospital, taking care of August. Belle was with me. -Em

Omg ! I'm sorry, I didn't know any of that ! You didn't tell me. -El

It's okay. August is awake now anyway. I won't be coming to school until 3 days -Em

Okay, I'll come visit on the last day. Lots of school work to be done. -El

Sure, see you. -Em

I smiled at the thought. Even though Ella didn't know anything, she still finds me.

I heard your brother got hurt. -Unknown

Who are you ?-Em

Someone you know. Apparently, you deleted my number. -Unknown

Well, whoever you are, stay away from me. I know your number must be deleted because you did something to me -Em

Whatever. Just know that I might be calling tomorrow. -Unknown

Ugh, who is this person ? Calling ? Why would anyone want to call me tomorrow ?

I just locked my phone and slumped down the couch and fell asleep.

I woke up to see August not in bed. I freaked out until I felt someone opened the door. I turned to see August and I sighed while relaxing my whole body.

" What's wrong ? " he scanned me from head to toe.

" You scared me ! I thought you disappeared ! Don't leave like that again ! At least tell me first before you go. " I complained.

" You look so peaceful while sleeping, I can't wake you up ! " he smiled. Why do I feel like something's wrong ? Oh right, he always can wake me up even when I'm sleeping peacefully. Is he, perhaps, flirting with me ? Wait what am I thinking ? That's impossible. I smiled awkwardly at him.

" You should go back to bed now. I'll go buy some food for you. " I said when I remembered Belle said that we'll meet in the canteen today. August nodded and went to bed.

I quickly ran down to the canteen and met Belle there.

" Belle ! You're here ! " I called her when I saw her sitting on the chair.

" Hey Em ! What makes you come down so early ? Is something wrong ? " she asked as I sat down in front of her and ate some noodles she gave me.

" I think August is flirting with me but I'm not sure. It seems like it. " I ate some more. Belle just looked at me weirdly like I'm some kind of ghost.

" You're kidding me right ? " she dropped her fork. Luckily, the fork's made out of plastic so it didn't make much sound.

I shooked my head and she took her fork and continued eating like before. Like nothing happened.

" Are you worried ? Don't be, he's my brother. How could I ever date my brother ? That'd be disgusting. " I pretend to barf and she chuckled at my expression. I smiled seeing her happy face.

My phone rang, I walked out the canteen so that there will be less noise. I see the caller ID, it was the unknown number that texted me yesterday. I quickly picked it up.

" Meet me outside now. " he hung up. I stared at the phone weirdly, guessing who's voice is that but nothing came up to my mind.

I did what he told me but I excused myself to Belle before doing so.

When I was outside the hospital, I saw a guy in a black leather jacket, black sneakers and black snapback outside the gates, standing, waiting for someone which is me.

I walked towards him quietly. I'm not sure if I should go, what if he's a bad guy ? I quickly changed my mind and went back inside.

Austin's POV

I waited for Emma to do what she was instructed to do through the phone. I knew that she probably don't know that it's me because she kept asking me who am I.

I felt someone walking towards me from behind but I didn't turn around. Suddenly, I heard the footsteps walked back into the hospital, slowly disappearing.

I turned around and nobody was there. Did she just bailed me ? She left ? Is she scared of me ? What have I done ? I just wanted to apologize. I squat down, I almost screamed but then someone covered my mouth.

Emma's POV

I was thinking of bailing this freaky and scary guy outside but then I went back. He came for me and I just bailed him, I shouldn't do that.

When I walked back I saw him squating down, wanting to scream but I covered his mouth before he did it and catch everyone's attention. I didn't know who is was until I saw his face. Austin. I tried to run into the hospital but he pulled me back before I did.

" We need to talk. No backing away this time. " his grip on my wrist became tighter as he pulled me somewhere else, somewhere where no one can see us.
