"WHAT!? Michael has escaped? how short was the staff there?! I'll be there soon, Im currently in the middle of nowhere heading to my family but when was this?!" Loomis spoke with a shaky voice
"Michael escaped last night, killing 7 or 8 people- one injured," The main guard from smith Grove spoke.
".... alright make sure to let the people of Haddonfield know about this. Tell the Haddonfield police to Keep many officers around in every street INCLUDING the Myers house. Thank Christ Y/N L/N is not even near Haddonfield..." Loomis said with a frustrated sigh.
----
You yawned while rubbing your eyes, you felt refreshed after taking extra sleep ever since you moved back from Haddonfield. You finally had a peaceful dream instead of a night terror, the dream you had was quite nice in fact... seeing the old Michael you knew comforted you in a way.
But you knew better at the same time, You knew Michael won't ever be the same Michael you knew ever since that day. That day where everything seemed so great but you never knew he would be having those thoughts or experiencing those types of issues.
Even if you missed him more than anything, even if he was your only best friend, even if you both shared the greatest memories of all... those lives he took- they never were meant to be taken. Judith wasn't the best sister, but in the end, she still bonded with you and gave you advice on how boys are. She was still the person who played around with Michael and help him with his homework. She wasn't the best soul but she never deserved to die.
Weasel, The kid who bullied him, who also bullied you in elementary... the one who would spit and pull your hair or call Michael's mom a slut.He wasn't the best person but we all knew he never had a parent to guide him through wrong or right, his friends weren't really his friends. Weasel was a terrible asshole but he didn't deserve to die either.
Although you don't really feel like explaining how Michael's stepfather was, he never was a good person and was overall shitty, creepy, or overall disgusting.
----
You laughed with Leslie, talking about childhood things and memories you experienced when you moved. Her green eyes shined through the light, her wavy ginger hair moving to her face every time she laughs.
"Ah, I remember that you were always so shy when you first arrived at school!but it was funny when you stood up against Weasel for bullying Michael!-" Leslie spoke but her smile fading when she spoke about Michael.
"Im sorry I shouldn't have... uhm bring him up I know how hard it was for yo-" she explained but was cut off by your sigh.
"No no, it's okay haha, I've... moved on from that." You said with a fake smile, taking another sip of your coffee
"If you don't mind me asking... how was it being Michael's friend? was he super obsessive and shit? didn't he kill like random birds" she laughed out loud with a bright smile? Your heart slightly dropped, Michael was never obsessive... I mean sure he was protective but he wasn't... a monster like everyone claimed him to be.
"No... Michael was caring and sweet- my actual first best friend I've actually ever had. Im not sure on the bird-killing though..." You stated in a mellow tone. You honestly didn't want to talk about Michael, it already pained you enough that you're only known as someone who knew a murder.
"pfft, I doubt he was caring or sweet Y/N! I mean cmon it's Michael Myers we are talking about." she giggled once again, your eye slightly twitched in annoyance.
"I mean you really didn't even know him personally so you don't get to have an opinion about it." the hate and anger in your voice almost hung out but you kept your composure, she hid her mouth with her sleeve in awkwardness. She would always do that in elementary if she was embarrassed or ticked off.
"I understand sorry Y/N my bad. I know how hard it can be when you had a murderer as a best friend...Where did you start living by the way? I heard it near that book store by Montwood."
"Oh yeah I live around Montwood street, 1679 is the address !" You made a small smile at her, your hands unclenching from each other since the conversation you both had was intense.
"Well, I must get going now Leslie I have a lot of things to do around the house, I hope to see you again!" Leslie nodded and gave you a quick hug before walking you to your car. You both waved goodbye as you got in.
Seeing Leslie leave the area where your car was parked made you feel relief, your head banging into the driver's wheel in frustration. It was hard from moving on from everything, but seeing people you knew when you were a child was the hardest thing. You felt so insecure around others, feeling as if their gaze was directed at you... you cant always pretend you forgot about everything. It makes your blood go hot whenever you hear people talking about the so-called boogieman.
You sighed and put your keys into your car to start it up, the sound of the soft music on your favorite radio station played while the sun started to settle. Today was fine except for the fact that you had to hang out with Leslie or hear those deranged police sirens everywhere which made you wonder. What was even up with that? all night you heard police sirens and dogs barking.
You made your way home, your feet hitting the cold tile in your house when you took off your shoes. You felt comfortable and safe in this house in fact but there was always a little edge to it due to the lack of decorations.
