As we set off towards the cafeteria, Ichihashi decided that it would be a nice time to start interrogating Kushida and me about earlier.
"Ne Kushida-san, what were you thanking Ayanokouji-kun for earlier?"
"Hmm? Oh, I was feeling a bit down this morning and he cheered me up." Kushida deflected all suspicions. But Ichihashi wasn't giving up.
"How did he cheer you up? Did he do that? I didn't know you could be lewd, Kushida-san!" Ichihashi gasps.
"E-eh?! W-we didn't do anything like t-that!" Kushida stammers in her response.
Soon enough, the others also joined in teasing Kushida.
"I didn't know you were that kind of person Kushida-san!" Inogashira joined the assault.
"Yeah, I thought that you were the type to wait a bit before doing those things. But guess I was wrong." Mii-chan (she told us to call her that) said while doing a thinking pose.
"E-eh?! Not you guys too!" Kushida exclaimed in surprise. I too was surprised that the two of them were teasing Kushida. I had thought that they were the quiet type who don't really open up to people. They were probably comfortable enough to speak up since there are fewer people here.
Kushida sent me a look saying 'Help me out here!'. But helping her out will ruin the fun, so I decided to do something else.
"Don't worry guys, we didn't do anything like that yet.
The girls gasped and Kushida became a blushing mess.
"Hoh? So you're planning on doing those kinds of things with Kushida-san in the future?" Ichihashi asked with a grin.
"Maybe, maybe not." I replied.
"You here that Kushida-san? Maybe you have a chance with him, he is handsome and cool." Surprisingly Inogashira said that.
"Ayanokouji-kun!" Kushida glares at me cutely, signalling me to stop.
"I was just teasing you Kushida. Besides you look really cute when you're all flustered." I complimented her.
"Hmph!" She pouted while looking away, it was a cute sight. I also saw her cheeks flush, seems that she was affected by the compliment.
"Ok lovebirds. Stop flirting in front of us single people." Ichihashi said.
"We are not lovebirds!" yet. Kushida came back to her senses and started scolding Ichihashi while Inogashira and Mii-chan just chuckled at their antics.
Ah, it must be nice to have real friends. To have someone you can relax around, someone you can share your troubles with, someone who can truly accept the real you. I hope that I can find people like that someday.

"There's more people here than I thought." I commented while surveying the crowded cafeteria.
"Apparently there's a discount sale for the higher years." Kushida comments while looking at sign that says '50% discount for all senior students for this lunch period!'.
"Ayanokouji-kun, can you go and look for a table since you already have a bento." Kushida turns to the girls. "While you girls and I order food over there." She points to the counter. "Is that okay?"
"Yep. We're okay with it!" Ichihashi complains. Kushida turns to the two quiet girls and they nod in agreement.
Kushida then turns to me, looking for my answer.
"Yeah, I'm fine with that." With my reply Kushida smiles and starts leaving with the group.
"We'll see you in a bit Ayanokouji-kun!" Kushida waves at me while walking away, while I responded in kind.
