Knight in Shining Armor

The stars were very bright that night, but Pandora couldn't care less. In fact, she didn't even see them as she was down in the library all night. Tonight, she brought a dictionary that translated the ancient language to English. Just what she needed. She muttered under her breath as she stared at each word. She learned that these bats have been connected to the dark and mysterious creatures known as vampires, but it's also written here that it wasn't rare for them to be incubi in disguise.*

Pandora was troubled, it could've been an ordinary bat but she lacked any knowledge. That same bat was by her side and also looking at the pages, as if it could read. It was strange but it didn't matter. She continued to study about bats and didn't come out of there until late. Her parents and servants were worried, but she was a smart kid and they knew that she would return.

Fiona, on the other hand, was silently panicking. Moments ago, she noticed that the kid looked awfully similar to a drawing in the novel. Unfortunately for her, she didn't know that it was her. Well of course, she knows now. Pandora wasn't a stranger to her, she adored this character. Her bright magenta hair and her dark black eyes, with those sharp brows and that sharp jawline. She simply couldn't take her eyes off of her. She was also way smarter than everyone else. She felt a sense of injustice when a character that was better than the main character was killed, just like that. This broke Fiona's heart.

The adorable little bat sighed, of course. This experience was a nightmare, but also possibly just a silly dream. Well, it's not too bad being next to someone like Pandora. As a matter of fact, it was amazing. But, from what was seen in the book, maybe this bat could be a shapeshifter or something of that sort. Incubus? Vampire? She wouldn't mind, as long as it meant not being a small bat forever.

Hours passed and it was time for Pandora to leave, the bat quietly followed behind her. Pandora allowed for the bat to follow her around and treated it with care. Apparently, the day that she stayed in there was the day that Lucifer came to visit. What a lucky shot, maybe this was her chance to protect this sweet soul. Pandora should be protected from that evil man, it was only right for Fiona to stay here.

Yes, this was it. This was her role in this world, to protect the pure Pandora!

Or maybe not.

Lucifer is here, again. Oh lord, Fiona has to do everything she can to make sure he doesn't do anything that'll make Pandora fall for him. It sounds weird when it's said like that but that's exactly what she's going to do. Sabotage this stupid unrequited love and make sure that Pandora finds someone else. But, it was obviously not going to be easy. Lucifer was such a lady killer, he just had to be. Fiona has yet to find any faults in him and she can't do much as a bat. All she can do is flap her wings and make sure to stay out of sight, how useless.

She just wishes she could help save Pandora, how hard could that be? Well, clearly not easy but seriously! This has to be the worst time to be a bat, why did she even become a bat? She was just a happy and ordinary girl, what did she do? Well, she did do a lot of wrong, but this is still so unlucky. To be in this situation at a time like this.

She's gotta find a way to save Pandora somehow, right?
