Ship: Mangosteen x Heartbroken Reader

TW: Mature language (yet again), mentions of the reader being beautiful, handsome and gorgeous.

This is somewhat inspired by The_Floating_Doll so I recommend you go and check some of their books out!

What an asshole.

You couldn't help but repeat the phrase in your head as rubbed your face, your chest ached. Or more specifically your heart did. That bastard just had to cheat on you didn't they. With your pathetic next-door neighbor out of everyone.

The two of you had been dating for over a year and yet now they got tired of you. Were you just that boring? Did they just lose interest in you? How long had they felt like that for?

Thoughts like that kept circling your mind as you rested your head against the bar. You had found yourself wandering about, after having yelled and broken up with them after finding them snogging on their couch. Your legs for some odd reason, brought you to the casino.

The famous Devil's Casino

The one place you told yourself you would never go.

You had heard the horror stories. People losing their souls from getting too ahead of themselves and betting more than they could rely on. You didn't want to end up with that fate. At least, originally you didn't want to.

Yet after what they did, you couldn't help but feel numb to the idea of losing everything and giving in to the sweet grasp of death or emptiness. Well maybe not numb entirely but you definitely wouldn't be depressed if that was your destiny.

After entering to the sounds of people, you instantly felt your brain fumble at the noise. The lighting was also not helping. You managed to find yourself a booth kinda far away from other people. It seemed to be isolated, placed into a corner as just some extra space for what you could assume were the busy nights.

You placed your head on the table, your arms wrapping around them in an attempt to block out the noise. Even with noise resonating from the walls and echoing towards you, you still found some kind of peace just sitting there alone. Not having to worry about communicating with anyone.

"Hello, would you like to order anything or just sit there in your own pity?"

God damn it

Some kind of demon waitress stood before me, with bright green eyes with dark slits in them, being merely blended in with the green makeup that rested perfectly on her face.

"Errr, I'll have just some water please," You mumble out, staring up at her.

She rolled her eyes and scribbled it down on some notepad before walking off, making a vague remark of how you came to a casino to order water out of everything.

You just placed your head in your arms again, giving a shaky sigh as you did so.

Did I do something wrong?

Was I just no longer good enough for him?

Am I good enough for anyone?-
