I stepped back not knowing what to think, I could never slay a dragon. Everyone was staring at me, they to did not know what to think, for again, they to knew I could never slay a dragon. The wizard presented the dagger, more beautiful than gold, but as deadly as the faint song I would soon hear if I did this, lying in my worn coffin, being laid down six feet under the evil soil that was once my home. The room was silent, and I did not know what was happening but my hands took that beautiful and deadly sight, and I laid it in my arms. The dagger is shining bright on my face reflecting my chance of hope and fear, but not that I had a chance. I then thought about how the earth was already dying, how what difference would it make if I was gone, for we all are destined for death. I took the dagger and ran, with my sister and Maxwell running behind me. I ran back to my home or at least what was left of it, and looked down at the dagger, wondering why I just took it, but then I knew why for it was my destiny, and destiny is inevitable. I ran up and faced the black dragon, and for some reason I was not afraid. His fierce nothingness was staring right at me. Though I ran to it and my feet felt like they were drifting, and I looked down, and they were no longer touching the ground, I was flying.
