I ran to my backpack hoping I remembered rope. I instantly opened it and saw the blue and orange rope. I ran back frantically to Max and in just in time, I threw the rope out to him and caught it right before he would finally be swallowed by water. When we hoisted Max up we asked him what happened and he said that he decided to sit in the shallow waters when it the calm water to harsh and rough. Before he knew it, he was struggling for life. I decided to test my theory by throwing a rock in the water. Immediately the water started to rumble and become rough and dangerous. We walked along the edge of the peer and I heard the now calm waves crashing against something, like it was hitting a wall. Then I walked a little further and saw an oar of a boat and then, a whole boat! I took the oar and the boat and then the group set off to cross the swirling sea.
