Chapter 19: The Real Story Came Out

"It's getting late, I better go home otherwise Lisa will raise me a scandal for no reason." - Jungkook laughed.

"Yeah, sure. Thank you that you're always here for me, when I need to talk!" - I took his hand.

"What are friends for?" - we both smiled and he left.

I got back home. I was so worried for tomorrow. Like - What am I gonna find in that house?

What if Lisa finds out that I'll go there? It's probably the craziest and most illegal thing I've ever done in my life.

In the morning I got up early from nerves and got in the car.

I arrived in Yongsan-gu. I didn't know which house it was and the area was big.

I remembered one thing. - "Everyone in our neighborhood knew my mother."

This is what Jungkook said. So, I didn't have another choice.

I stopped in front of the first house I saw and knocked the door.

A 40 years old man opened.

"I don't wanna buy anything!" - he said and almost closed the door in my face.

"No, no I wanted to ask you something..." - I replied.

"What?" - the man asked.

"Did you know Shin Sihyeon? She used to live in the neighborhood with her man and son." - I explained.

The nan visibly tensed after hearing her name.

"N-no, I don't know what are you talking about, boy! ... Don't come here never again!" - the man slammed the door.

That was strange. He obviously lied to me.

I knocked on another house. They did the same thing.

After long time of asking people about her, I knocked on the last house.

An old lady opened the door.

"Who is?" - she asked.

"Hello, I just wanted to ask you, did you know Shin Sihyeon? She used to live here with her husband and son. Their son is my friend." - I said.

"Get in, son! I'll tell you the story." - we came in her house and sat on a couch.

"Do you want something to drink, boy?" - she inquired me.

"No, I'm rushing. Thank you!" - I replied.

"So, Jeon Banghook and his wife Shin Sihyeon, really used to live here with their son. What was his name...oh, yeah Jungkook. - the old lady started to tell me the story.

"I remember that Banghook was lying his son and wife, by telling them he was an office manager. But that wasn't true. They were poor, since he wasn't actually working. Then he messed up with the wrong people.

In his desire to make money and raise his son, since Jungkook turned 6 years, Banghook started to work for a weapons and drug trafficker. His name was Sehyuk Manoban.

His business was illegal, but no one could catch him, while transfering the goods. Banghook was Sehyuk Manoban's right hand.

He was the responsible one for every order. He spent 8 years of working for those criminals.

One day Sehyuk Manoban stopped paying him for like five months.

Manoban and his daughter were working and preparing for years to conclude a contract with the richest man in Mexico and import him goods.

They were going to take so much money. We're talking about 50 billion dollars!

So, apparently one day, they finally managed to conclude the contract and impact the goods to the rich man.

Banghook was told to take the money and bring them to Manoban's office. Obviously, he realized that those people were criminals and wanted to fix his mistake.

He took the 50 billion dollars, lying to them that there were traffic, he went to his home and prepared his and his wife's luggage.

Sihyeon didn't know why he wanted to hide in Brazil.

Story:

"Banghook, why are we leaving Korea?! Will you explain?!" - Sihyeon kept asking him.

"Don't ask, darling! Just hurry up!" - the man put their luggage in the car.

They both got in their car and set off.

"Are you crazy?! What about our son?! Will we leave him alone there?! Why are only we going?" - Sihyeon yelled at him.

"It's for his own good, honey! Trust me! Jungkook is strong, grown up man!" - the man added.

While they were driving, Sehyuk, his daughter and their people stopped them on the road.

All his paid people took out a guns and directed it on them.

"What are you doing, my friend?! Are you leaving with my money?! I didn't expect it from you!" - Sehyuk told him.

"Now, give me my money and a punishment will have only for you!" - Sehyuk kept.

"Banghook, who are these people?!" - Sihyeon inquired.

"I will never tell you where are the money!" - Banghook uttered.

"Okay, then. Lisa, you know your work." - Sehyuk nodded on Lisa.

"I know, dad!" - Lisa shot Sihyeon and she died in front of her husband.

"No! No, Sihyeon! You'll pay for this, you dirty animal!!! Why did you do it?! She didn't even know!" - Banghook yelled.

"Are you gonna give me my money or not?" - Sehyuk kept asking.

"No way! Even if it costs my life!" - Banghook uttered.

"Got it. Then I'll have to dig out what I need from your son! I'm sure you didn't miss to tell him where is my money!" - Sehyuk said.

"Don't touch my son, you bastard! He's my only child, he's young! He doesn't know anything! Don't touch my...-" - Lisa shot Banghook in the head.

They both died on place. Then it appeared the new that they passed away in a car crash, which is not. The poor boy was only 14 years old, when they died. He was told that his parents passed away in a car crash, while trying to leave him.

Until today, no one knows where that money is. Some people still believe that, Banghook buried them somewhere in the field under the soil, but no one actually knows the place." - the old lady told me the story.
