Chapter 18: Golden Bullet

The next morning I was tired and inadequate. I couldn't blink all night. My thoughts didn't leave me alone.

I couldn't think of anything else. Since I didn't sleep I got a severe headache. Such a severe headache that I felt sick and wanted to throw up.

I made myself a tea and wrapped a blanket around me. I spend the day, laying in the bed. On the next morning I was better, but not that much.

Suddenly someone rang the doorbell.

I got up and opened. It was Jungkook.

"Jiminie! How are you?" - he hugged me.

"I'm fine, I just have a severe headache. Come in, don't stay on the door." - I said and we got in.

"I hope you're okay! This is for you, it will help you feel better." - Jungkook handed me a bag.

"There are an essential oils, that will relax you, a spa set with nice shampoos, a face cream and a few books that are my favourites." - Kookie told me.

"Thank you so much! There was no need!" - I replied.

"So, I came just to see if you're okay. I'll go home, I don't wanna bother you." - he stood up.

"Thanks, again! You're welcome, whenever you want!" - I said.

"See you tomorrow!" - Jungkook left.

I closed the door and took out the things in the bag. I took one of the books. I opened it, just to see a paper attached to the first page.

It was saying "In your place, I wouldn't feel good either. I heard you met my father. Sorry, but he's not interested in working with Samsung Electronics! Oh, by the way, look what's in the face cream. Enjoy your gifts!"

I dropped the book on the ground in horror.

"What?! Sh-she...she knows?!" - I was shocked.

I hurried to put the book back in the bag. I took the cream and opened it.

There had no cream, but only a sheet of paper, under which there was a bullet.

"The special golden bullet is for you, boy! It's special for me. I took it from Mexico the last time I helped dad transfer guns across the border. You already know it, why am I even telling you this? Of course, if you're a good boy and don't approach Jungkook, I won't have to use it!" - was saying the paper.

I took the bullet in my shaking hands. She obviously was threatening me. But I didn't plan to give up and leave Jungkook in her hands!

It was clear that she had a mental problems. But my question was - What does she want from Jungkook?!

I started to think. If Lisa killed Jungkook's parents, then maybe they've been an obstacle to her. Or maybe she and her father wanted something from them, but they didn't give it to them?

I decided that this couldn't last more and I needed to understand more things about Jungkook's past. But how? Every time I asked him about his parents, I was making him upset.

I went to Jungkook's house. I knocked the door and he opened.

"Jimin? Is everything okay?" - Kook asked.

"Y-yeah, I just felt alone and bored, so I thought it would be a good idea to come for a walk nearby in the neighborhood." - I said.

"Sure, let's go! I'm so bored too. Lisa went in the company." - Jungkook locked the front door and we started to walk around the neighborhood.

"A company? What company?" - I inquired.

"Oh, didn't I tell you? If you're wondering why we have such a house like this in the centre and why did she give me her credit cards to buy whatever I want, it's because she owns a holding company, which her father left to her after he passed away." - Jungkook shared with me.

"H-her father have passed away?" - I was surprised.

She certainly lied Jungkook about that.

"Yeah, why are you surprised?" - Jungkook asked me.

"No, never mind." - I responded.

"I'm feeling so alone lately. I wish I had at least one sibling." - he told me.

"Do you miss your parents?" - I said with concerned and kind voice.

He nodded. A single tear fell from his eye.

"I... miss them so much!" - he replied.

"I also miss my mother so much. She had never scolded me or something of the kind. What was your mother's name? Tell me only if you want." - I tried to take information to explore the things.

"Her name was Shin Sihyeon. Everyone in our neighborhood knew her."

"Hm, I think I've heard that name before. Where did you live?" - I lied just to know where was his previous house.

"Yongsan-gu. I lived there my first 14 years with my family... of course before they died in that car crash and the bank took the only memory, I had from them - the house in Yongsan-gu. At the moment no one is living there. It's just another empty house, which belongs to the bank." - Jungkook shared and went sad.

"I'm sorry... It must have been a terrible trauma for you." - I said.

"So, after I went to live in Lisa's house and I was in severe depression... After some time I tried to commit suicide, but she stopped me, so yeah. If she hadn't stopped me, I wouldn't be here now. I'll be thankful to her till the end of my life." - Kookie told me.

I didn't say anything, knowing the truth about Lisa, and secretly wrote on my phone Yongsan-gu.

I had only one thought in my mind - I'm going to search that house!
