Chapter 21: Was I Blind The Whole Time

I hid the bag and started wandering around the room, trying to find a solution.

I grabbed my hair in the panic.

Suddenly, someone sent me a message. I took my phone and checked it.

It was an unknown number. The message was saying: "I know you found the money and hid it! You won't tell me where they are, so I'm going to ask Jungkook!"

I panicked. I immediately left my house. I couldn't find the car keys, and started to run to Jungkook's house.

After some time of running, I finally reached it.

I knocked the door multiple times, panicked and out of breath. Kookie opened.

"Jimin? What's wrong?" - he looked concerned.

"We must get out of here immediately!
Please, don't ask questions, just follow me!" - I took Jungkook's hand and dragged him with me.

"Will you tell me what happens?! Where are we going?" - he inquired.

I didn't say anything. We started to run as fast as we could.

After many minutes of running we were completely tired and out of breath.

All of a sudden, Jungkook stopped to run and fell on the ground on his knees.

"Jimin, I can't anymore! Let's take a break and you'll tell me what's wrong!" - he told me.

We sat on a bench.

"Look, you may not like what I'll tell you, but know that I am telling the truth and I have a reason and an evidences to claim it!" - I said.

"Okay, what's it?" - he asked.

"Lisa is not that girl, she pretends to be. She's a psychopath or sociopath, I don't know, but she has a mental problems! She and her father have a business with drug and weapons trafficking in Mexico.

Lisa killed your parents herself! Then she started giving you pills, which made you want to commit suicide! She killed your parents, because of just a stupid 50 billion dollars!

They're still searching for them! I found them and hid it. Lisa knows that I found them and threatened me that she'll kill you. She wanted you to trust her and tell her where the money is! I told you the truth, but you decide. I'll understand you if you hate me and don't want to believe my words." - I uttered.

"Sh-she... Everything was a lie?!" - Jungkook's eyes widened.

He looked at me and a single tear fell from his eye.

"People are cruel, life is cruel.... They would do anything for just papers!" - I said.

"I wish, I didn't mess you in this!" - he sighed.

"I wouldn't say anything else exept - What are friends for?" - we smiled.

"That's right!" - he replied.

"Here is the letter, your father left you." - I handed him the letter.

He read it.

"I-i don't know what to say... Was I blind all this time? When did you understand this?!" - he was speechless.

"I...I knew that she's a psychopath from long ago, but I didn't tell you, because I was afraid she would harm you. I understood about the money today." - I admitted.

"I can't believe... I can't believe!" - Jungkook yelled.

"Hey, calm down! Everything will be fine!" - I took his hand.

"My parents died from that woman's hands! My father sacrificed himself, so that he could raise and protect me! How can I be so calm?!" - Kookie wasn't himself. He was squeezing and smashing the letter, then it fell on the ground.

"Listen, let's first decide what are we gonna do! If Lisa finds out where we are.." - I suggested.

"She's for a mental clinic! She's crazy!" - he shouted.

"There's one more thing..." - I took the gun out of my backpack.

"This is the gun, your father left you to use if they try to hurt you. Take it! If something happens to me...use it! And know that I'm doing all of this, because you're the only one who accepted me the way I am and... you're the kindest person, I could know!" - I said.

Jungkook took the gun.

"Don't talk like that, Jimin! Thank you for everything and that you opened my eyes! I'm sorry that I messed you in this!" - we hugged each other through tears.

"Let's go, before she finds us!" - we got up and started to walk.

All of a sudden, Lisa appeared in front of us, directing a gun on us.

"Do not move, Jeon Jungkook!" - she yelled and pressed the trigger at Jungkook.

This happened for a parts of the second.

Before, I could realize it, I was already standing before Jungkook.

I took the bullet, directed to kill Jungkook. Lisa shot me right in the left side of the stomach.

Jungkook tried to hold me, but it didn't work. I fell on the ground barely in conscious.

"Jimin!!!" - Jungkook yelled and started to cry.
