"Why do you always get hot chocolate?" Emily asks.

I shrug my shoulders, "It tastes good." I take the drinks Emily and Marquis ordered and hand it to them. So yeah, Emily and Marquis are a thing now, I think. I take my hot chocolate and head to my table. It's been two weeks of Dom and I coming to the cafe, unfortunately, almost all the times we had lasted for five minutes.

It's a loop, we say tomorrow then one of us is busy and has to work. Sometimes I question whether nursing school is worth it or not. I shouldn't be upset about it, but I am. The only purpose of this cafe thing is to show other people we're 'together'. But, I want to get to know him more.

I wave goodbye to Emily and Marquis and they head out of the cafe. I put on my headphones and put on some music then continue working on my research. I'm bopping my head to the beats and lip syncing the lyrics. I'm swaying my body slightly, not giving a shit if people are staring or not. I look up and see Dominic staring at me smiling. I jump in my seat and my cheeks turn red. I remove my headphones and grin at him, "How long have you been standing there."

"Long enough to know what a weirdo you are." I laugh and shake my head, still slightly embarrassed.

"I thought it was common knowledge." I shrug my shoulders and he laughs. That laugh is music to my ears. I gesture for him to sit down and he obliges. "I'm almost done with my research paper, so I'm just gonna finish up then we can talk." He nods and brings out his laptop and sets it on the table too.

"Same here." He smiles and types in his password.

I continued typing and we sat in silence for ten minutes, nothing but typing sounds coming from both of us. Every now and then we looked at eachother but that was it. I tap on one last key and lean back in my chair and rub my eyes while letting out a sigh. I stretched a little and took a sip of my drink. I close my laptop and he lifts up his finger and mouths one minute, I smile and nod then go on my phone. And like he said, one minute later he shuts his laptop and rubs his eyes as well.

I put down my phone and looked at him. I think we can finally talk and hang out today and I'm going to savor every moment with him. "You look tired," I'm a little concerned, so I reach into my bag and give him an eye cream. "Here, it helps with the stinging." He looked at me shocked at how I knew it stung. Staying up late and constantly working on your laptop probably does it. He takes it out of my hand and rubs it lightly underneath his eyes. I see pleasure take over his face and a little groan leaves his mouth.

So good he mouths still lightly rubbing his under eyes. Why is this making me have butterflies? Stop with your dirty thoughts Nat. "Tiring week?" I ask.

"You have no idea." He groans some more and god I can't handle it. He looks at me and a little smile appears on his face.

"How do you look so beautiful when you're tired?" My mouth drops and butterflies flutter all over my body. I couldn't help but smile and blush. I smile so hard my eyes disappear.

"Yeah, I don't know about that." I basically whisper and awkwardly laugh. This is the first time he has ever complimented me on my appearance.

"Yeah no, you're gorgeous." He compliments me again and I am now a puddle. He's amused at my low key freak out and laughs. "What? Did Daniel never compliment you?"

I shake my head and stop smiling. "Uh well, only in bed." I look at my cup and start playing with it and spinning it. I look up to Dom and see he's frowning, I shouldn't feel shocked and surprised every time he does that. This is the Dom I was used to.

I force a smile to lighten the mood, which I kind of brought down. I wave my hand, "Anyways, I don't want to bore you with this." I laugh awkwardly. He shakes his head and his expression is flat now.
