"Nice singing." I hear an unfamiliar male voice. OH HELL NAH strangers hearing me singing absolutely not- WAIT stranger? Who the fuck is in my house?!

I make a swift turn to see who it is. I tilt my head at his face. His brown hair is messy hiding his contrasting bright blue eyes. He's not that tall, probably around 5,9 but still taller than my 5,5 self. I can't lie... he is attractive.

"Um- hello??" I ask almost out of fear but now more curiosity.

"Oh sorry yeah, I'm Matt. Jaden played lacrosse today with me and my brother." Oh so there's more of him... ok ok. "He invited us over but my brother had to check up on something at home... so it's just me" oh well I mean it checks out.

"Ohh where's Jaden-" of course his entrance is made by running in.

"JADEN IS HEEERRREE" he smiled at me and Matt slightly giggles. "What are you wearing? Layla I've got guests." I look down remembering I'm in short cycling shorts, a sports bra and an oversized zip up hoodie.

"Well, one you didn't message me to warn me or even let me know we had guests" i glare at my brother before turning to Matt "no offence"...

"None taken" he responds. I nod with a smile and turn back to my brother.

"And two I'm gonna go upstairs and put on some trackies and if I don't see you" I return to matts beautiful, blue eyes "it was nice meeting you. I hope to see you soon" I wave and make my way upstairs.

I like Matt... he looks like a nice guy, he seems shy but he's nice. Plus I think him being here means one Jaden is making friends already, which is great, and two he got on the lacrosse team but I'll ask him about that later.

For now I throw on some grey trackies that are low on my waist to show the band of my shorts. I hear my phone beep behind me. I pick it up so see what going on- it's an Instagram notification. I click on it and see that @3liza_x has followed me. I know I said I wouldn't talk to as many people but... she seems nice and I'm trying to be better. She could be the influence I never knew I needed. I press on her account and follow back.

Heyy it's Eliza from school...

I reply to her and we end up talking all night.

Tuesday morning. I wake up at 6:40 and go downstairs to make me and Jaden some breakfast. I'm up early for once by myself, usually Jaden has to wake me up. I guess I'm excited to see my new friend. I don't know. Anyway...

I decide on making us waffles. I hear the stairs creek and see my brothers face turn round the corner.

"Um... what are you doing?" He looks confused.

"Making waffles." I say obviously. He starts to slowly walk towards me- still confused.

"Why? And why are you awake. You never cook. And you definitely never wake up early." Hes finally in front of me. He gasps and grabs my face moving it all around and grabbing my cheeks and nose. "Have you been possessed or OH MY GOD IS THERE AN ALIEN IN THERE" he says as he uses his hands to open my mouth. "What am I gonna tell mom" I shake my head and push him off.

"Dude come on what the fuck are you doing." I look at him confused and then start laughing.

"Where is mom? Oh no- did you eat her?" He asks with wide eyes.
