Ivy's POV

"So, that was an eventful night, don't you agree?" Nat announced when I walked into the server room with James behind me.

"Shut up, I did what was necessary." I sighed. "And fortunately, it paid off."

"But at what cost?" Nat snickered, seeing James' stern facial expression.

"I already talked with Ivy about it, so let's just drop it."

Nat hummed, smirking at me. He passed her the memory card.

"Can you check what's on it?" He asked, taking a chair next to Nat, looking at the monitors. I sat beside her and hissed quietly, feeling the inflamed skin on my ass.

"Sure." Nat looked at me. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I shot a quick look over James, seeing him pursing his lips, trying to cover the smirk.

"Ok, let's see what we have here." Nat took out a spare laptop and put the memory card in it. "Just in case the card has a computer virus."

She started typing on the computer, while I leaned back on the chair, rested my head on my hand, and just watched how she was trying to break through the firewalls. James was scrolling on his phone. I saw how  suddenly he furrowed his brows, reading something on his phone, and then aggressively typing on it.

"You okay?" I asked him quietly.

"Yeah." He responded gloomy, not even looking at me. Great, back to being a bear, I guess.

I rolled my eyes and looked back to Nat's laptop. The program started working, so we just sat there and waited. I wasn't quite sure how long we waited, but I shot back on my chair when I heard Nat's voice, realizing I fell asleep on the chair.

"You guys, this might take a longer time than we thought. I set the program to break through the firewalls but after almost..." She looked at the time on her wristwatch. "... 50 minutes we passed through the first one so far. I'm not sure how many are there, so let the program work. I'll give you the update when something pops up. Go to bed, it was a long and tiring night."

"Ok, thanks anyway, Nat." I stood up and headed to my suit. I noticed James didn't follow me. Ok, guess we're not gonna talk about what happened at the hill. I knew that this might happen, but honestly, I was hoping that something would change at this point. I was getting tired of his mood swings. I wasn't planning any of it to happen. It just did. I headed to the kitchen, reflecting on my situation with James. When I entered the kitchen, my eyes landed on two figures sitting by the kitchen island and sipping something from tumblers. The lights were dimmed so I couldn't exactly see who it was.

"Uhm, hello?" I called out uncertainty.

"Lady Jones!" I heard a deep baritone voice, and before I orientated myself with the surroundings, I was picked up and spun around.
